Recycled Magazine Picture Frame
Hi everyone!
Does anyone know how to make a recycled magazine picture frame?
(Like this one: http://www.outblush.com/women/images/2008/05/recycled-magazine-picture-frame.jpg)
My friend's birthday is coming up and I really want to make one for her, but I can't figure out how to get the magazine page that tightly wound.
If anyone's had any experience with it, or ideas on how to do it, that would be greatly appreciated!

I use a straw to help the winding...before slipping the tube off just glue the entire end down, about 1/2 to 1 inch in. The straw works pretty well, and helps keep all the tubes even.

I think those little coffee stirring straws would be good since they are little and shorter than drinking straws. You could probably pick up a box of them with hundreds inside and pretty cheap.

a few weeks ago i did an entire mirror thing similar to that. it took me a long time, but that's cause it ended up being like 2 ft by 3 ft.
anyway, i used a wooden skewer, a glue stick, hot glue, and magazines.
for something like that you don't want to use the whole magazine page because it will be too hard to bend. only roll like a third lengthwise, and glue down, use some hot glue to keep it from unrolling if necessary, and then hot glue the rolls to the frame.
