Log Dump: Sarah visit, and WoW conversations

Ironhide: .....
Ironhide: What the frag.

Megatron: ...............

Ironhide: .......so I can't comm anyone, or even visit a web page, but I can play /WoW/

Megatron: Ironhide?

Ironhide: Yeah, it's me.

Megatron: ....really?
Megatron: WHERE ARE YOU?

Ironhide: ....yes. You think a human would be able to hack my account?!
Ironhide: I don't know.
Ironhide: Some fraggin' jungle.

Megatron: ....What do you mean you don't....a jungle!?

Ironhide: Yes. A jungle.

Megatron: ....
Megatron: Are you sure you're in a jungle....

Ironhide: Comm frequencies and internet are down, GPS isn't working, and I can't transform.

Megatron: .......

Ironhide: If I could show you a fraggin' image to prove it, I would.

Megatron: Hn.
Megatron: Yet you can play a computer game.

Ironhide: I don't understand it, either.

Megatron: ...you're not on vacation?

Ironhide: Find. Me. I'm almost out of energon, I've got dents in my armor, and I've got injured sparklings with me. >/

Megatron: ....speaking of armor....

Ironhide: What about it? Just get us back!

Megatron: Lavender looks good on you.
((Chainmail in question :D))

Ironhide: Frag you.
Ironhide: It's the least of my worries right now.

Megatron: How? What do I look like, a GPS system?

Ironhide: Track. Down. My. Signal.
Ironhide: Or have someone else do it.
Ironhide: I don't care.
Ironhide: Just FIND US.

Megatron: ...we've been trying. Don't get your tailpipe in a twist.

Ironhide: Really can't help being a little fragged off right now.

Megatron: I'd be fragged too if I had to wear something like that.
Megatron: We'll find you.

Ironhide: Stop the jokes.

Megatron: You're alive. Stop being so pissy. I'm sure it could be worse...like being trapped in ice for a few hundred vorns. >/
Megatron: ...there's another?

Ironhide: Kid, I didn't know you played.

Longarm: ...Hello?
Longarm: Yes...I play this game occasionally.

Megatron: Who is that?

Ironhide: Longarm.

Longarm: ...Yes.

Ironhide: Fraggitall, I should have tried logging on sooner. I only did today out of frustration, trying anything I could.

Next day :D

Ironhide: ...connection is spotty. Any luck yet?

Megatron: ...not yet. We're working on it.
Shouldn't be too long...

Ironhide: How long is 'too long'? We're staying in one spot to help locate us.

Megatron: I said we're working on it. If I had a definite answer, we'd be there already. Just stay where you are for now.

Ironhide: ...sorry. Just anxious to get the frag out of here.

Megatron: Understandable. How many of you are there?

Ironhide: That I know of? Me, two sparklings, and an annoying seacon. There's another around here somewhere that I'm gonna kill when we get back, too.

Megatron: ...we'll worry about that later. So four or five...Alright. Hang tight. We'll find you.

Ironhide: Were you aware you had a cannibal in your army? >/

Megatron: ...I'm sure I have a few. Why?

Ironhide: Snaptrap. Seacon. Tried to /eat/ Landmine.
Ironhide: That's why.

Megatron: Oh. Them.
Megatron: Well...that's what they do.
Megatron: Tell them I said no eating other mechs or else.

Ironhide: ...right. Gonna reinforce those words with some well-aimed plasma blasts.

Megatron: If you feel the need, be my guest.

Ironhide: ......frag. Getting bad lag, need to go.

Megatron: Alright. Hang in there...

And he managed to catch Skyfire as well

Ironhide: Any luck finding us yet?

Skyfire: ...Ironhide?

Ironhide: Yeah, s'me.
Ironhide: Don't know how I can play WoW with no internet access...

Skyfire: ...That makes absolutely no sense, but considering I'm playing a game that involves me running around as a giant bovine, I can't really talk.
Skyfire: Yes. Cosmos has pinpointed your location and we are preparing a rescue party.

Ironhide: Cosmos is here?

Skyfire: Skylynx and I will be part of the extraction team.
Skyfire: Yes, he just recently arrived.
Skyfire: We are bring medics with us. You mentioned that someone was injured...?

Ironhide: Yeah. Mostly minor, but Landmine got a chunk bitten out of his shoulder by a fraggin' seacon.
Ironhide: ...which medics?

Skyfire: ...A Seacon? Isn't that a Decepticon?
Skyfire: Oh dear.

Ironhide: Crazy cannibal fragger, yeah

Skyfire: I know Arcee has demanded to come, and I think Glit may come as well. ...Ratchet should come as well, but I have yet to speak to him.
Skyfire: ....CANNIBAL?

Ironhide: If I see him, I'm /shooting/ him

Skyfire: Well if he attacked a /sparkling/ I certainly hope so!

Ironhide: He'll be lucky if I don't /kill/ him

Skyfire: I wouldn't be surprised. Did he... was he actually trying to - ugh - /eat/ Landmine?

Ironhide: /Yes/.
Ironhide: Kid managed to get away, luckily

Skyfire: .../Primus/.
Skyfire: Is he alright? ...Other than the obvious damage, of course?

Ironhide: He's fine for now, I managed to patch it up some.

Skyfire: Good. Depending on how many injured we have we might have to put all the damaged mechs on one transport and the undamaged in another.
Skyfire: ...And we'll keep any Seacons away from the damaged as well.

Ironhide: ...how many of us were captured?!

Skyfire: ...There are a number of us who went missing at the same time as you three did. Cosmos has said that they all seem to be on the same island as you.

Ironhide: ...an island. And no idea who or what?

Skyfire: I don't have the exact numbers, but I believe it was about...20 mechs and femmes total.
Skyfire: Yes, an island. And we still have no idea who or what is behind all of this.

Ironhide: Whoever it is, if I find out who...

Skyfire: You along with everyone else I think.

Ironhide: ...lagging again. I'll try to get back on later.

Skyfire: Alright. Take care!

Ratchet: *It had been quite some time since Ironhide had gone missing, along with several others. In trying to keep himself occupied, he had been going through medical reports, helping others as they needed it, and constantly cleaning his medbay when there was nothing else to do. Today was such a day. Cleaning, reorganizing, and cleaning again, he found himself scrutinizing one of his tools that he had found a small defect in, and was debating a decent way to correct the issue. He found some welding and molding tools in the back, and set about to repair the damaged tool...*

Sarah: After leaving TC's quarters, Sarah heads for the medbay, figuring Ratchet will most likely be in there. She had taken her time, thinking things over for a bit and clearing her head, and after shifting the bag on her shoulder, she goes through the medbay doors, Annabelle with her as well. "Ratchet? Are you here?"

Ratchet: He hadn't heard the doors open, as his welding tool had been on and sparking at the time. But the moment Sarah's voice rang through the medbay like a gentle, calming breeze, he looked up wearily and put down the tool, looking at her. "Yes, I am here, Sarah. In the far corner, repairing a tool." The sound of metal clanking gently against metal resounded quietly through the medbay as he shifted on his seat in front of a metal work table.

Sarah: She heads over towards his voice, being careful to not get too close to the work table, "...I just wanted to come visit you, see how you were doing." Right off the bat, she notices that he looks...tired, and there's an undertone in his voice that speaks of stress.

Ratchet: Stress was an understatement. More like the stress had melted into a sort of Cybertronian version of depression. His systems had slowed, and while he had taken great care of others, he had worked himself so much he hardly had time to take care of himself. Even the dust on some of his paint showed that. Missing his bonded...was causing more than just stress, even if he didn't outwardly say anything about it. He shifted a bit, as if debating an answer.

"I'm doing fine. It's...a bit difficult, but I manage in the fact that he's alright. The bond at least, allows me to determine if he is in danger or not." *He said, speaking in such a way as if to mask the ache that was ever present in his spark.

Sarah: Sarah frowns, studying him more closely and noticing the signs of Ratchet not taking care of himself, biting her lip, "I don't think you're doing fine. I've never seen you look like this. Your paint...it's scratched, and I've never seen this much dust on you. You haven't been taking care of yourself, and it's obvious."

Ratchet: Ratchet sighed softly, air rushing softly through his systems. He knew Sarah was right, and he shook his head. "I'm better than I look. I've just been...busy." Small excuse for a problem so big...

Sarah: "You've been keeping yourself busy on purpose, haven't you?" She doesn't believe him for an instant, worried about him, and sets the carrier with Annabelle down to walk over to his leg and place her hand on it, "...I did the same thing when Will was missing. I know the signs, don't lie to me."

Ratchet: Ratchet let out a low growl, Sarah's words punching him to the core of his spark. He knew that she was right, and he remembered when Will had disappeared for a time as well. He knew it had to have hurt her, just as it hurt him now. But to break down in front of a friend? He didn't want to do that. Someone had to be a wall to lean against for others in similar situations. To break down now would be to cause others to lose that support. He shook his head, looking down at her. "...How did you deal with it, then?" He asked, trying to sound merely curious.

Sarah: She removes her hand and replaces it with her back, leaning against his leg, "...for a while, I did the same thing you're doing now. But then I realized I was only hurting myself, and that Will would be upset at me. He hates hurting me, even if it's indirectly, and I'm sure Ironhide is the same. He wouldn't want you to run yourself ragged."
Sarah: "I told myself every day after that, that he'd be back soon, he's fine, and just focused on doing what I normally did when he /was/ there."

Ratchet: He let out a slightly ragged sigh, metal shifting against metal as he moved a bit again, adjusting to a more comfortable spot. "Sarah...I have tried doing what you suggest. It has not worked for me. I've tried acting like he is right here, or just down the hall in the training rooms because of our bond. But the actual stress the distance has caused on us...it is indescribable." He said, speaking softly, but his words were wrought with worry and pain. Try as he might to disguise the emotion, he failed, and horribly.

Sarah: She's unsure of what to say to that, chewing on her lip and trying to think of what she /can/ say to help him handle the separation better. Sarah knows a good deal about bonds (Starscream and Skyfire had explained them to her), and she can't even /imagine/ what it must feel like, to be able to feel your lover, but not knowing where they are or when you'll see them again.

Ratchet: There must have been a new record in silence between them, because it seemed to last forever before he finally stood and went over to a shelf, putting one of his welders away and aimlessly tinkering with more tools on the shelf. He was trying to distract himself again, but it wasn't working. Sarah being there, while he didn't mind her company in the least, was a constant reminder about Ironhide being missing. The sudden shocking sound of metal slamming against metal, creaking under stress of being bent downward, reverberated through the medbay, bringing himself, and probably Sarah, back to the present, and revealing just how much this entire thing bothered the medic. He may have a tendancy for throwing things, but it was a very, very rare sight to see his fist embedded into one of the medberths.

Sarah: Sarah jumps at the noise with a surprised yelp, rushing over to pick up and quiet Annabelle, who had started crying at the sudden sound. "Shhh...it's okay, baby..." Anna isn't calming down, though, and thinking fast, she digs into her bag, grabbing the plushie she'd packed. Unfortunately, it happens to be the one given by Santa of Ironhide, but she doesn't notice until it's in the baby's arms; said baby starts calming down after she's given the plushie, hiccuping softly.

Ratchet: Ratchet realized his error only too late, and turned, an apology spilling forth as he turned. His spark sank as Annabelle cried, and he offlined his optics briefly, shaking his head. "Sarah, I apologize-" He was cut off, however, by the sight of the little adorable plushie of the mech that was his bonded and mate. He hadn't thought that a small, fluffy plush could wrench his spark and cause him to turn away, his air intakes catching as emotions affected his spark, causing erratic pulses, threatening to overload a few systems. He stood with his back to Sarah, trying to regain control before facing her again.

Sarah: "...oh...Ratchet, I'm...I didn't realize I'd packed that one..." Sarah feels /horrible/ now, moisture gathering at the corners of her eyes and threatening to spill. It's painful to see him like this, and she chews on her lip, trying not to cry, knowing it won't help.

Ratchet: He somehow, after a moment, managed to compose himself well enough to turn and face her. "No, it's alright. It's not your fault. I'm sure...things will return to normal soon enough." He spoke quietly, trying to keep Annabelle in mind. "I'm just tired of doing nothing productive in terms of looking for them as the days pass. I am not part of security, but I find myself looking over old survelliance recordings to try and find something...anything. But nothing has come up as of yet." he continued, sounding somewhat defeated.

Sarah: Straightening up, she sighs, pushing away her tears, walking away from the now peaceful baby and towards Ratchet, "...let me see your holo."

Ratchet: That request drew a rather interesting look from the worn-out medic. "...Why would you need my holo? There isn't anything wrong..." he said, his holo nonetheless flickering to life a few feet away from Sarah, a confused look appearing on the older man's face.

Sarah: "Because you need a hug, and I want to give you a proper one," she immediately steps forward and does just that, wrapping her arms around him tightly, "you'll find something. Someone will. And Ironhide and everyone else will come home, and they'll be /fine/."

Ratchet: He didn't know if it was the physicality that made him crumble, or the words that she spoke, but all he knew, as his holo portrayed the emotions he felt through human means, was that he finally broke down completely, almost becoming like a ragdoll in Sarah's arms. Ratchet himself had sunk to the floor, curled against the wall, his frame shaking silently, while his holoform cried into his friend's shoulder. He didn't say anything; he couldn't. He just hoped that no one walked by or walked in and saw him like this; the wall that had stood so strong for everyone else, now a crumpled heap against the wall of the medbay.

Sarah: Sarah just holds onto him, leaning the side of her head on his, and sinks down onto the floor, taking him with her, never relinquishing her tight grip. "/We'll find him/. You know he's alive, at least, and he's too stubborn to give up trying to find a way to come home to you." She rubs his back comfortingly; he needed this. There was only so long that someone could hold in all of that stress and pain before breaking.

Ratchet: Ratchet's holo never stopped, at least not for the moment. He managed a half-strangled laugh at Sarah's comment. "Slagger was always too stubborn for his own good sometimes..." He coughed, his mech form still shaking against the wall. Somehow, he found himself grateful for the ability to express more emotions through a holoform. Humans had such a wide range of emotions and ways to express them, and sometimes only a human way could express what he truly felt.

Sarah: She keeps rubbing his back, close to tears herself; not only is Ironhide a close friend of hers, but she knows the feeling of worrying over the wellbeing of a lover. "And he has someone to come back to. He's too stubborn to die."

Ratchet: His voice cracked and sounded half-choked as he formed yet another reply. "I-If he dies...I swear by-by Primus himself...I will bring him back and kick his sorry a-aft..." Ratchet coughed again, the soft sobs making him almost choke with 'tears' of his holoform. He buried his head against Sarah's shoulder again, sniffling against her shirt. He wanted Hide back again, and badly. Just to be able to hold him again would be enough. He swore he would never let go if he got ahold of him again.

Sarah: Sarah moves one of her hands up to stroke the holo's hair, rocking back and forth slightly, "He /won't/ die, Ratchet. Don't you dare even /think/ about it, you hear me?"

Ratchet: Ratchet pulled back, looking at her. His face, despite the sounds and mimicking of crying, was dry. He nodded softly, still half-choked up. "I know...I know he won't." He looked away for a moment, looking at the ground. "He's far too stubborn to let that happen."

Sarah: "Exactly," she smiles, resting her hands on his shoulders and leaning forward to give him a kiss on the cheek, "you should go get some rest, and clean yourself up. I promise you'll feel better afterwards."

Ratchet: He sighed softly, looking back at Sarah and nodding just a bit. He knew he needed to take better care of himself, and what she had said previously made sense. Ironhide would be furious if he knew how much he had been neglecting his state of health. He nodded finally, giving in. "...Alright." He sounded defeated, but in reality, he felt a bit better already, knowing there was someone there who knew how he felt. However, he still felt a need to be that wall of support for others.

Sarah: "C'mon, I'll walk with you to your room," Sarah squeezes his shoulder and stands up, still smiling, grabbing his hand to help pull him up.

Ratchet: Ratchet's mech form had stopped shaking as his holo was helped up by Sarah, and both forms stood finally, though both a bit shakily. He was shocked at himself for having broken down, but he had a feeling it was for the better. His holo glanced in the direction of Annabelle, and he managed a small smile. "She's grown a lot since I first saw her." He spoke softly, watching the young one.

Sarah: Annabelle gurgles, chewing on one of the arms of the plushie, and kicks her feet restlessly; Sarah bows her head slightly at the sight with a small grin, "Well, she was only five months when you first saw her, and it's been almost a year. Babies grow fast. ...she can walk on her own now, you know. Seems like just yesterday she'd only just learned to crawl."

Ratchet: He looked at her, a look of mild surprise on his face. "She walks already?" He had not seen her walk at all, not yet, anyway. Then again, keeping himself couped up in the medbay was a good reason for him not having known about it.

Sarah: "Yes! Next time I visit, I'll bring her again, so you can see. But for now, you need rest," she admonishes, hands on her hips, a stern look on her face. "No changing the subject on me in hopes of getting out of it."

Ratchet: He managed a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "I wasn't trying to change the subject." Ratchet raised his hands, giving in. Even for a human, she was very intimidating when she wanted to be. "I'm going, don't worry."

Sarah: Sarah nods, retrieving the baby-laden carrier and situating the bag on her shoulder, "I'll walk with you. Promise me you'll recharge until you don't feel tired anymore? No waking up after only a few hours?"

Ratchet: Ratchet nodded softly, his mech form shifting a bit behind them. "I promise." He kept his holo on for Sarah's sake, so she would have someone her size to walk with.

Sarah: "Good." She remembers well where his and Ironhide's room is, having stayed there for a while, and starts off in that direction, grabbing the plushie with one hand before Anna can drop it on the ground.

Ratchet: He walked slowly with her, his mech form trailing behind. He was honestly grateful for her company, and was surprised that she had been able to help him, been able to give him someone to talk to. Then again, as he thought about it, he really wasn't all that surprised. Sarah Lennox was a strong, supportive woman with a sharp tounge, but an gentle heart. He knew she was there to take care of her friends, and that included the giant robot variety of friends, as well.
"Sarah...I appreciate you coming to visit me." He said quietly, still walking with her*

Sarah: Sarah smiles at him, handing Anna back the the plushie and grabbing his hand in her free one, giving it a squeeze, "I couldn't leave without at least saying hi."

Ratchet: Ratchet squeezed her hand in return, managing a small smile. "Thankyou. You will be coming to visit though, correct?"

Sarah: "Of course I am," she reassures him. "And you'll come visit me sometime soon, too? At our new house?"

Ratchet: He smiled and nodded. "Of course we will. Unless you give us a good reason not to..." he said, teasing a bit.

Sarah: She laughs, turning down their hallway, "I can't think of any reason why not. Anna would love it."

Ratchet: "Alright then," the medic said, seeing his and Hide's door just down the hall. "When Ironhide returns, we will make sure to come for a visit."

Sarah: Sarah smiles, glad to hear him say when instead of if, "Just be careful with where you park. It's illegal to park on the sides of the street."

Ratchet: He managed a chuckle at that as they arrived at the door, his mech form stepping around them and tapping in the codes. "I am to assume your driveway is large enough for the both of us?" he asked, trying to keep a postitive tone.

Sarah: "It is. That's actually one of the things we were looking for; we knew any of you that needed to visit would need a place to park," she adjusts the bag on her shoulder.

Ratchet: He smiled at that, and then leaned forward to give her a hug, being careful of Anna. "Thank you. It's much appreciated. But I should head in. That recharge is sounding like a good idea right now." He smiled, poking a finger to Anna's nose gently.

Sarah: Anna giggles and kicks her feet, making Sarah smile. She returns the hug, "Go rest."

Ratchet: He nodded finally, smiling at Anna one last time before looking at Sarah. "Would you be able inform Prime for me that I will be unavailable for the next twenty-four hours? I am sure he would like to know...that is, if you haven't seen him yet...?" He asked, a bit hesitantly.

Sarah: "I did need to talk to him; I'll make sure to tell him," she nods, still smiling, "I'll see you later." Sarah pats his true self on his leg, the nearest part of him that she can reach, not planning on leaving until he's in that room.

Ratchet: He nodded at her, and finally his holo fizzled out, leaving only his mech form. He stepped inside the room finally, letting the door close shut behind him. He ended up looking around the room, optics resting on the berth. He promised. With a sigh, he moved to the berth, and laid down, preparing to offline for a hopefully good recharge cycle...

Sarah: Sarah waits for a moment before walking away, shaking her head slightly, and heads for Optimus' room, hoping to find him there. If not, she's not sure /where/ he'll be.
