About:

Do you like playing with plushies, models, or figurines? Do you intentionally put the wrong dubs on video clips? Do you like like mocking the very things you love dearly? Do you make yourself and your friends laugh so hard that you hyperventilate? Well, this community is for sharing that cracktastic creativeness, the laughter, and the fun!

Crack Theatre started with anime, but we welcome other fandoms!

Here are a few types of what we'd like to see in this community:

Crack Theatre: The mockery and/or reenactment of shows (not just anime!) or ideas done with toys. Credit for the existence and phrase of "crack theatre" goes to

sky_dark! Her Full Metal Alchemist crack theatre inspired

kuroneko7727 and

fierydragonsky to start a Bleach crack theatre. Thus this community was born.

Mish Mash: The splicing of two existing characters or things to get another already existing character or thing. For instance, here's a mish mash by kuroneko7727.

Mock Dubs: Shows or spliced clips of shows with intentionally incorrect dubs.

ACTION Cosplay: Show us your cosplay IN CHARACTER shots and/or movies! (Just plain "this is my costume" pics aren't what we're looking for.) Show us your IN CHARACTER adventures at conventions or even just around town on a normal day.

Iconversation: Just what it sounds like - talk with icons! Someone starts a conversation in icons, and the community continues it in the comments. Try to use little or no text dialog. Please use only fandom-based icons.

Other: Come up with a new cracktastic idea for mocking what you love!

NOTE: KEEP IT VISUAL!! We don't actually want fiction or scripted fiction. (If you have a script, bring it to life in pictures or video somehow with whatever you have available -- use decorated tongue depressors or other materials, but just have fun!) This community is intended to be visually oriented.

***For now, we'd like to avoid AMVs. That's a huge category of its own and probably would deserve a whole community to itself. This is subject to reconsideration when the community is firmly established.***

Layin' Down the Laws:
1. Don't be an asshat. That means no flaming. Constructive criticism is perfectly fine.
2. Your post needs to be visual in nature. (Exceptions: Intro posts, questions, and the like.)
3. Any content with NUDITY, EXTREME VIOLENCE (read: gory!), or DRUG REFERENCES needs to be placed behind cut tags and labeled with appropriate warnings. Discussion of sex, toys engaged in supposed sex acts, and cursing do not need to be behind cuts -- for now at least. (This rule might have to be revised as the community grows).
