Definition of "clan" changing in Scotland
I found this intriguing in light of how those of us from outside the Celtic nations tend to approach claiming a piece of Celtic culture and beliefs for our own. In a sense, I see those of us who practice a reconstructionist or restorationist method as acting akin to this shifting in perception. We are claiming our "clans" with less regard for blood ties than we might otherwise by reaching toward both the present and past of Celtic ways to forge bonds between each other, the cultures we both live and and aspire to adopt, and our gods.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
