[mood |working]

some cultural organizations in the KC area that might be of interest to CR folks.

the Irish Museum and Cultural Center, located in Union Station provided space for Turloch Boylan and the Kansas City School of Irish Music. I took tin whistle classes from him in the fall of 06 at the old location of the Irish Museum.

there is the Celtic Fringe, don't know much about them except that they are a networking group.

on Labor Day weekend, there is the KC Irish Fest. i attended for the first time last year. an assortment of traditional and irish rock music. also displays on KC Irish history as well as info booths.

there is also the KC Scottish Highland Games in early June. i have yet to make it to this event.

while not specifically cr_r, there is the Wild Hare Protogrove of the ADF. they share similar interests and are good people.
