I found a new place!!! :D
It's another rented room in a family's house, not a whole place of my own, but I think it's a good fit. The family's views and lifestyle is WAY more in tune with my own than the other places I've lived. They have two great kids, and they're gonna cut some off my rent if I do child care a couple nights a month! The room needs a bit of work, but they said they'd cut some more off the rent if I do work on it. Easy stuff like reinforcing the ladder (it's a LOFT!!! XD ) or helping hang some sheet rock. AND!!! It's got a wood-burning stove in it!! It's like having a fireplace, just smaller! :D :D :D :D :D :D
It's a bit rustic, and the house is a bit messy, but that's cool with me. They seem like a really cool and close family. Oh! And the house is surrounded by flower gardens and forrest!! It's near Beartown State Park, and it's SO beautiful!!
I'm gonna take pictures next time I go there (to unload some stuff, XD). I wanted to yesterday, but my camera died :/
I'm so excited!!!!! :D
Oh! And I found this Barbie doll at Goodwill. It's the MOST disturbing Barbie EVARRRRRRRRRR!!!! D:

Rewatched last ep of LoM, just because. Stop.
Am still wiping tears and holding my sides from lols. Stop.
Simm's acting has killed me and why in the fucking hell didn't they give him a decent script in Who because he is fucking brilliant and he should not look like a lost little boy when he cries because that breaks my heart and wah. Stop.

I now have a blinding headache because I watched that on a different screen and I am too wah from LoM to sleep. Stop.
My cat is jealous at Sam Tyler and wants to know why I'm so emotional. Stop.
Is good emotional, though, not the devastated sort; just the good-fuckin'-drama sort. Stop.
My dad never usually rings me just to chat, but he rang me after the finale aired in Finland earlier this week because it was that OMGWTF and this pleases me and I suspect he has an unhealthy love of the Guv because they look similar enough to be brothers and come to think of it, the Guv looks more like him than some of his brothers do and this is disturbing. Stop.

Today I did some more laundry and then I made some more ghee, and then I went to meet up with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) thedimholt and quantumliquid, and went to a café with them, and just as we were ordering, acropetal called me and said she had a day off work, so she joined us, too. It was a very nice afternoon in the café backyard, in the shade and the warm breeze. Then acropetal and I went to the cinema and got our tickets for The Dark Knight on Monday. And then I went home and cooked lamb in my clay pot, and did a drawing in photoshop of the elusive caduceus that is on the breast pocket of Dr. Horrible's lab coat. It's in ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) drhorribledress if you are curious. It's pretty uneven and not perfect by far, but it looks better when you scale it down and print it -- I made it so I could print it on iron-on transfer paper. But at least I got to use my drawing tablet!
Also, I was wearing my new Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog T-shirt all day today. :) |

Okay, so I was in the bath shaving the back of my neck (yes, I get a stubbly neck from my boy hair days, shut up) and when I looked at the razor, there was a fucking chunk of my hair on it.
I mean, I actually doubt it'd be pretty visible to anyone but I can FEEL the gap. ...and when I have my hair cut you'd probably be able to see an uneven area at the back there.
Then, I was shaving the other side of my neck and managed to do it AGAIN, though not quite as much.

I don't really like meeting celebrities. It interferes with my perception of reality and boundaries. It is ok for me to meet some musicians because I think they are playing for an audience and music is an interactive art. I would go out of my way to avoid meeting, say Jed Bartles, if I saw him on the street. Ummm...I'm going to go with Bono after all that tl;dr.

Wash my face, brush my teeth, take pills, read.

What bad news: I have a hiatal hernia (excess pressure makes the top part of my stomach bulge into my chest cavity).
What good news: since my first attack of crushing chest pain back in April, I've lost 46 pounds. I knew I'd lost weight (I've gone down two dress sizes), but holy crap. I can hardly believe it. I weigh less than I have for the past ten years. I'm still overweight and should lose another 46 pounds, but still -- I can now look in the mirror and not want to cry.
I'm more excited about the weight loss than I am disturbed by the diagnosis. I never lost this much before when I was trying to diet. Pain is a great motivator. I had six attacks in April, where it felt like someone took a wide leather belt, cinched it tight under my breasts, and left it there for anywhere from three to 24 hours. It was impossible to get comfortable. I slept when I got exhausted. I ate only because I knew that an empty stomach would make the pain worse.
I've already made the changes necessary to treat the hernia and accompanying acid reflux. I eat several small meals throughout the day, restrict caffeine, chocolate, alcohol, spicy and acidic foods, eat more fibre, elevate my head for sleep, and I quit smoking. My mental health is still crap, stress and meds make my brain too fuzzy to write fic or participate in fandom as much as I'd like, I have no money and am terrified by the prospect of getting a job, but hell -- I'll take whatever happiness I can get. |

I thought it might be unfair to have to choose between the fandoms involved, so I went with a neutral and always enjoyable nerd!Vince ^_^
Okay, I'll have more to say later (quite a bit more actually), but I had to say this now. Yesterday was quite possibly one of the best days of my life -
* I got John Barrowman's autograph (he's so pretty!)
* I got Gareth David-Lloyd's autograph (also so pretty!)
* I went to the Doctor Who and Torchwood panels which were two of the funniest hours of my life. I think Steven Moffat is now one of my newest favorite people (as a person. I already loved him as a writer) <3
* I got Matt Keeslar's autograph (aka 'Sexy Boss Man' aka The Middleman)
* I got to go to the red carpet premiere of Stargate: Continuum on the USS Midway for free. The actors were there, we got free food, we were on an aircraft carrier, and I still can't believe it. There will definitely be pictures when I get back home. I just wish I had been able to stay for the after party, but I couldn't because...
* After the Stargate thing, we went straight to the premiere of The X-Files: I Want to Believe <3 <3
So between Canada, Comic-Con, and just traveling, I haven't slept more than 2 or 3 hours a night for about 4 nights. My eyes are red and there are prominent bags under my eyes atm o_0
