REMINDER: Follow the rules!

I noticed we have some members who have not friended the comm, or do not have promo buttons somewhere on their journal.

We will be doing a button check this week, and anyone who DOES NOT have a button will be given 24 hours to put one up. If one is not put up within 24 hours, you will be cut.

Also, if you are just watching the comm, you have until THURSDAY MORNING AT 12:00 AM ET to join. I will ban you if you haven't requested to join by then.

THESE RULES ARE NOT HARD TO FOLLOW! I DON'T WANT TO BE A B*TCH, BUT I DON'T THINK I HAVE TO GIVE WEEKLY REMINDERS TO FOLLOW THE RULES!!!

ALSO, PLEASE MAKE SURE THE COMMUNITY IS FRIENDED!!! IT'S A RULE AND YOU ALL AGREED TO FOLLOW THE RULES UPON JOINING. WHOEVER HAS NOT FRIENDED THE COMMUNITY BY SATURDAY, APRIL 5 AT NOON WILL BE REMOVED!

Yes, we've hit 300 members!! Thank you SO much for making this a successful community.

Since we've hit the 300 member mark, I figured it was a good enough time to give everyone a gentle reminder of the rules.

*Be nice to the Makers, they work hard.
*We are a Drama-Free Community. If you start Drama, I have NO problem banning you.
*Always credit the maker and community.
*All Graphics are for livejournal use only, unless the individual maker says otherwise.
*You must JOIN and FRIEND the community to see all posts.
*You must FRIEND the community before applying for membership.
*Don't Steal! If you steal, I have No Problem banning you.
*Read and follow the Makers rules.
*If you have the time to request the graphic you have the time to pick it up and comment.
*All request must be picked up within one week of them being posted.
*If you're having computer issues that prevent you from picking a request up, I'm fine with having another member get yours for you.
*If you DO NOT pick up within the alloted time, you will receive a strike. 3 strikes and you are banned from the community.
*Always use requesting forms when provided.
*Do not hotlink. Always upload to your own server.

We have 300 members, but only 291 of you have FRIENDED the community. Those of you who have not friended the community, PLEASE do so by Saturday, Feb. 16 at NOON. After that, I will be removing and banning those who have not friended the community.

I don't like coming online (when my time is limited... I have a 5-year-old adopted daughter that lives with her father MOST of the time, plus my own 7-mo-old and #2 due 02/08) and receiving IMs and emails about the drama in the comm. I'm glad that the members are coming to me with concerns/questions/comments, but there is NO need for it... I shouldn't be getting these types of things. Most of us are over 18, let's act accordingly.

I just made the following post about a week ago... reposting as a reminder...

1. ALL THINGS HERE ARE TO BE COUPLE RELATED! This also includes open requests and pixel-to-blinkie requests. No best friends, no children, just couples. There is our affiliate baby_graphix for baby/child/family related graphics, and juicy_grapes and blinkie_sea for other types of graphics. Most of our makers also make at or own their own communities, so you can check the community's profile page for links to the makers' user info pages and see where else our makers make at.

2. If you're going to request any kind of graphic, from any maker, use the graphic. Most of our makers have lives outside of LJ and graphic making (Jobs, Schooling, parenting young children, etc) and our time to make graphics is limited. If it's an icon and you don't have the room, Don't request. Either SWITCH to a Plus account, BUY a paid account with extra userpics or there's also doing the less expensive thing and sticking it in your profile. If it's a blinkie or banner, please use it on your profile or (if you know how) dress up your LJ pages.

MAKERS - I will be doing a SIMILIAR post in cgmakersandmods, so if you're a maker here and NOT in that comm, please join!!
