Joe Nichols is about as contemporary as contemporary country can get. No hat. No boots. Good-lookin' guy, sub par material. May be gone tomorrow, may stick around for another few years. He's one of those guys who's neither here nor there, not great but not awful either. There's better and there's worse. Much, much, much worse.
