*waves* Hi! Glad to see this comm exists, Peri can always use more love. In that vein, here's a story I just wrote, that scarfman suggested I drop a link to here. It's crossposted at Teaspoon and at dwfiction.

TITLE: A Girls' TARDIS Adventure

SPOILERS: Through "Last of the Time Lords", and a bunch of Who Classic--assumes you know what went down with Peri in Trial of a Time Lord.
CHARACTERS: Tenth Doctor, the Master, Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, and Perpugilliam Brown

SUMMARY: An AU from the end of Last of the Time Lords. The Doctor and the Master and Jack Harkness seem to be getting along fairly well, but Martha is left to her own devices. But there's more in the back of the TARDIS than just a few empty rooms! Some Ten/Jack/Master, a lot more adventuring.

I’ve just watched this and it’s a lovely little companion piece to the Two Doctors DVD. It actually would have made a great extra feature on the Beeb’s 2-disc set, but never mind.

Filmed a couple of years ago, the DVD features the lovely Nicola and a group of lucky fans dashing around Seville and the surrounding countryside, searching for and finding the locations where the programme was shot, 21 years previously. She clearly has a great time and it’s infectious. She shares a few anecdotes along the way, but mostly this piece feels like watching someone’s holiday video.

Aside from the main feature, there are a nice set of interviews with Nicola, Colin Baker and Frazer Hines, and there’s some cracking juicy stuff in here. It’s mostly about the Two Doctors of course, but strays over into general Who stuff, and there’s an insight into Colin’s thoughts on his work for Big Finish and what he thinks of Tennant’s Doctor. There’s quite a lot of stuff that’s been covered elsewhere, but there are quite a few things that I’d not heard before (John Nathan Turner solving the problem of which Doctor should have the biggest hotel room by taking it for himself for instance), and it’s always a delight to see and hear Nicola talking about anything, so I’m not complaining!

So, not essential, but definitely worth a look for fans of Nicola and/or Colin Baker.

And as you can see from these caps, Nicola is as gorgeous as ever in it! :)

that's another story or five.
     Sometime after Nekross we caught up with Doctor Scarf. It was while he
was with Sarah Jane the radical feminist, so I took pity on him and let him
be on top ... the first time. After that Sarah Jane insisted on a contest
between her and me, to see which of us could ride the other's Doctor to come
first. She didn't believe me when I told her that multiple Doctors always
come at the same time - or at least she claimed she didn't believe me - until
the third tie.
     The oldest Doctor - Or is that the youngest Doctor? He sure looked old
... but he didn't feel old! Anyway, we found the first Doctor last. And he
had two girls and a guy with him, so me and my Doctor both got tag-teamed
all night. Chesterman had better technique than the old Doctor but the old
Doctor was a better lay for his enthusiasm. We all fell asleep in the same
bed afterwards ... and either I had a dream like none before or since, or the
blonde girl pushed my envelope for me while I was too wiped out to play back.
     So I got in all the Doctor's past bodies before Thorus Beta. After he
got away from that rigged trial, he visited me at Krontep to make sure I was
okay, and I asked him not to come to my coronation until he'd regenerated
again, because the coronation of a Krontep queen is an old-fashioned
fertility rite. He showed up shorter and oddly Scottisher with this redheaded
two-by-four who said I must've wanted him to regenerate first because I was
tired of being crushed. But she got hers, because Yrcanos picked her for his
partner. The four of us kicked off the orgy by fucking on a podium for
everyone else to watch.
     And the Krontep king- and queenships rotate every year, so for our
successor's coronation I got escorted to the orgy by this sweet youngish
Doctor who reminded me of my first. Then he finally took me home to Earth ...
after a few nights together in the TARDIS. But he still got me home on the
date exactly three months from when I'd left Lanzarote.
     And that's how I spent my summer vacation.

This is a fanvid that I made, focusing on the 5th Doctor and ALL of his companions. Yes, to fullfill the "all" part I unfortunately had to include about 10 seconds or so of Kamelion, the useless android companion. Sorry about that. XD
For shippers, this is a perfect fanvid, as there's 5/Tegan, Turlough/Peri, and implied 5/Nyssa. Plenty of angst, but it all end on a somewhat happy note.

well, i just learned about this Doctor Who-related DVD while browsing this site(www.whona.com). it sounds like fun, and i think it's going to make for a nice gift for any Peri Brown/Nicola Bryant fan. the dvd is also advertised as being NTSC Region 0, but i'm not sure if that means region 2 dvd players will be able to play this.

"TV" Peri vs. "Big Finish" Peri

Well, the title of the post is kinda self explanatory. ;)

Do you think there are any big differences and/or discrepancies between how Perpugiliam "Peri" Brown was portrayed on the televised Doctor Who and on the Big Finish audio adventures? I think that despite Big Finish's limitations(there are certain things they are allowed and not allowed to do with the 'classic' Doctor Who characters by the BBC) they have developed Peri's character quite a bit.
What do you think,Peri fans?

And on a somewhat unrelated note, which 5th Doctor/Peri or 5th Doctor/Peri/Erimem Big Finish audio would you recommend? The only one I have so far with all three of them is "Church And The Crown".
