We've had computer problems at home since Wednesday. It's a long, boring, frustrating story that will hopefully end after I buy Windows 7 tonight and we get that installed on our "new" used computer.

Ah, Thanksgiving. Turkey with all the fixin's, pumpkin pie, and an afternoon of football, both on the tube and just tossing the pigskin around the backyard: a fine American tradition, and one many Cougar Ridge denizens are throwing themselves into with gusto this year. Everything looks better after some cranberry relish and stuffing.

Town retailers are hoping for a real black Friday. Business has been down for pretty much everyone (except the Market and the pharmacy, both of which are still doing good business from people stocking up for the winter) and a strong holiday start would go a long way to making proprietors forget the troubles of the late summer and fall.

Be sure to come out Friday night and cheer on the Cougar Ridge High Kelpies in their first Division Championship game in twelve years! Hopefully this time, they'll win!
