| About: | This community is a repository for fan fiction based on the exciting LiveJournal game Cougar Ridge (found at ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} cougarridgegame).NOTE - Some of the writing in this community contains scenes of a graphically violent and/or sexual nature, as well as copious references to small yellow fruits (well, maybe not so much fruit any more). If you're under 18 or offended by such things please don't read any further. I'm rather hoping that we won't need a lot in the way of rules here. But here are a few for starters (some lifted from 2000_words). I reserve the right to change the rules on the merest whim.(Be warned, links open in a new window.) 1. Put all posts behind an LJ cut. For instructions, go here. This is for common courtesy's sake. I'm sure plenty of stories can get to be really big, and we don't want to make anyone's friends list more ponderous than it needs to be. 2. If your post has mature content, please label it so, either in or before the LJ cut. 3. Entries which are intentionally offensive without any redeeming value will be deleted at my discretion. Repeated infractions will result in the offending poster being banned. 4. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If you appropriate someone else's work and call it your own, you will be banned. If you are uncertain if something you wrote incorporates plagiarism, say so in your post (e.g. "Can someone tell me if this constitutes plagiarism?" with an explanation of where it is in the post, and what the source material was). If you lift something from the game, please give credit. 5. That said, all works posted here belong to their respective authors. If someone's work here is stolen and used elsewhere, I will do what I can to help the original author get satisfaction. 6. Blatant character attacks will not be tolerated. However anyone reading or writing here should realize that nothing here is canonical, and your characters are up for grabs. If you think someone is using your character unfairly, send me a private message. Anyone guilty of character assasination will get the relevant post deleted. If you do it again, I have a ban_set, and I will use it. Hopefully that's enough without being too much. If you have any suggestions about the rules, or the community in general, please let me know through private message, or as a comment on one of my entries. | |
