Wellington Cosplay Ball 2008
Good evening everyone!
First, I'd like to say a huuuuuuuuge thank you to everyone who turned up for the 4th of May photoshoot. it was so awesome to see everyone there ^^
Second, on the recently created Cosplay New Zealand forums (previously ACP forums), there has been much talk about a Cosplay Ball held in Wellington.
Basic Information (so far)
Venue: School Hall of some description
Date: End of November
Dress Code: Cosplay is required. Formal prefferred, but not enforced.
Ticket price: somewhere up to $50 (but not over) Most likely including a dinner, but we're still discussing this.
So, as an idea outline what do people think? who would be interested in going?
I've said that my house can be used for out of towners to stay in for the weekend if need be, and I think U_Ne_Korn has said words to the same effect.

Still, great idea!
Plan quickly and book before September, otherwise you'll end up with very limited choices of where to go because every school or group will be wanting a hall during that time. That being said also look at town halls, church halls and other rentable/bookable venues. Some places have strange rules about outside catering though.
As an idea, I think it's a rather cool one for a get together/ball which'd have an extra element of fun to it. It'd also be fun to have dance other than Caramelldansen/Hare hare yukai/Motteku Sailor fuku. (Even though those are fun.)
I'd be hesitant to clearly state my interest though, because of other events that might be going on for me in that period. (And because I don't want to find/make three different outfits for three different events.)

Come on people!
Re: Come on people!
This staff member isn't in the country. I'm enthused to the point of wanting pictures and wishing I myself could attend.
;___;
I want to help organize though! I want to be in on it all!
