I'm looking around for a styled Nia wig for the upcoming convention Ikasucon '09. All of the pretty one's that I'd like to buy on eBay are being bought, and it's hard to get the money before the time is up. I don't want to result to buying a horrid wig to do with for the time being. Anyone got any Nia wigs lying around they don't want anymore?

Hello!
I am totally new to make props and my next costume requires a katana. I've read about making it out of wood, but I don't have the tools to do so. What are other simple, effective methods to make a katana? I can work with art supplies, but I am not very good at crafts, so the easier the better =)
Also, how long should it be? I know there is an official lenght, but I am not sure.

Heyos,
I've recently been helping out a friend with a costume from O'part Hunters (I dun know the name of the character) but I am at a loss as to what to do for the wig (I sew, I'm not a wig stylist by any stretch of the imagination :P, we won't go into my last attempts at styling wigs :P). So any help or links to good tutorials would be of great help.
The 2 biggest problems we're facing with it is
1. What kind of wig to buy, the character has half black hair and half white, and has got some major spike factor going on, so the wig needs to be able to use hair dye and some kind of hairspray/spiking material. Any tips on what to buy/what not to buy?
and 2. I have a general idea from some tutorials I've looked at on how to do the spiking but no clue how to go about doing the dye, especially sine it's half and half. My friend thought maybe we could sew 2 wigs together, but somehow I don't think that will work? Also, any suggestions on dye first then spike, or spike first then dye? I also found a few wigs (punk wig) that's partially pre-spiked, but I dunno if dying it would work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Up for sale I have a Brown China Doll bob wig for sale. It has been worn only twice for short amounts of time over a wig cap. It has a mixture of brown and black fibers. It has bangs, comes with a skin top, and the fibers very silky! This wig hasn't been cut or altered in anyway.
I have no use for it anymore and it needs a good home!

Also for sale I have a lilac China Doll bob wig. It has been worn only twice for a few hours over a wig cap. It has bangs, does not have a skin top, and the fibers very silky! 100% Kanekalon fiber.
This used to be my Mii wig from Popotan. I have washed out the styled bangs with shampoo and water and let it dry.
For some reason there are still hints of hairspray residue in the bangs. You can only see it if you're really close up to it. Other than that this wig is flawless.
