65 cm waist taffeta corset auction for diabetes research
Greetings everyone!
As you know I have decided to auction off the burgundy taffeta corset and put the proceeds towards diabetes research (Canadian Diabetes Foundation).
Here are the measurements in metric:
Waist: 65 cms
Hips: 96 cms
Bust: 84 cms.
Front waist to top: 16 cms
Front waist to bottom: 18 cms
Side waist to top: 15 cms
Side waist to bottom: 14 cms
Back waist to top: 17 cms
Back waist to bottom: 18 cms.
The corset is made with burgundy shot taffeta, 2 inner layers of german coutil, and lined in natural, unbleached cotton satin. 26 bones (5,5 mm), each carefully measured, cut, sanded down with my beloved bench grinder to a smooth finish and held in place by flossing (well, that is pretty obvious, huh?). I doubled up the boning in the back for maximum support. Bias has been sewn using the french binding technique (machine sewn from the outside, and stitched by hand to the inside using invisible stitching).
I think that about sums it up, no? If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I will be flying to Canada mid-week, but I will do my best to answer any questions upon my arrival in Canada.
Starting bid? 1 EUR, no reserve!
