Can anyone help edit the Coronation Street article on Fan History Wiki? It could use a little work because the article is pretty empty. :( Sections that could really use help include fandom attitudes towards slash, fights in the fandom, and the fandom timeline. The timeline mostly includes bebo information, LiveJournal information with a few other random facts. It would be really nice to see it fleshed out, with a lot more information. Thanks for any help you can provide in improving the article. :)

Okay, so I'm watching ahead and it's October 2007. Cilla just moved to Las Vegas after hocking her $45k necklace from Frank the old codger and she's left Chesney behind with Kirk in Weatherfield. One of her excuses as well as Chesney's is that Les will be back soon. Up until now I thought I somehow missed his leaving the show, I remember hearing rumors that he left for good, so I assumed he was not returning. Can someone refresh my memory about why he left and when/if he's coming back?

Canadian fans, you probably already know the weeknight episodes of Corrie are not going to be shown until middle of June because of the hockey playoffs. What you may not know is that CBC is showing the omnibus online so you don't have to get up early on Sunday if you forget to set the recording! http://www.cbc.ca/coronation/ Wait for the Flash player to load up, it works in Firefox as well as IE. Can't vouch for other sorts of browsers.

Steven Arnold who plays Ashley was in my city of Halifax, NS this week. Our group has hosted a Corrie event with an actor all but one of the past 6 years. This year's star was Steven and it was a really good event. I finally got the event written up and it's here. There's a link at the bottom for photos. Good fun, lots of hard work, but 700+ fans seemed to go away happy and that's why we do it. There are links to the other events we've had here on my own Corrie page.

Hello all

I have just started tuning in again this morning to the Canadian Sun. morning Corrie episodes. Freddie was found to be missing after the fire, is what I gathered.

I'm reading the CSVU Canadian updates, but if someone could give me the condensed Reader's Digest version of what happened over the past little while, that would be great. From last year, I remember Holly the baby, and Tracy going to jail.

eta: I should probably have mentioned that I was reading the UK updates at the ITV site last year. I don't care about spoilers, I'll prolly start reading those again too.

What on earth has happened to Hayley/Julie H?

Last I remember she had this hullaballoo over her son. He ditched her, she was devastated.
I missed a few eps and suddenly she was over in Africa on a charity mission?!

It seemed as though she was written out very quickly, almost like Jim from E***E***** who couldn't return because of a sudden illness. Is Julie OK? And is she not coming back or are they just putting her on hold because she wants some time out at the moment?

I'd think they get rid of her properly but it's not like she needs to be written out so Roy can move on to another lady, hell he ain't no Dev in the chatting up stakes! And that's saying something! :D

Just heard on LK Today (I dont watch really, I dont) that Vera and Jack are retiring to Blackpool and Very gets killed :( that is sad, the woman said she had agreed to it and it was a fitting end for Vera..... I'd preferred they lived happily ever after.

Is anyone else *really* sick of the David Platt storyline/s??!?!?!?

When he was a bit weird - interesting, evil - very intersting, Bethany-ecstacy storyline - uber interesting.

To see him crack and show genuine *normal* feelings was great.

Now he's back to crazy/evil he's annoying. Why's he being usch a little bastard? Did he think someone would forgive him for nearly killing a child within a week?!
Make him good or get rid of him. He's starting to do my head in.

More Sophie please! I must say it's weird as she's more drawly-Northern than the rest of the Webester family but I still love her!

I got to thinking this morning that I can't recall at all why Richard Hillman killed "Maxeem." I assume she knew something about him having killed his first wife (was that who it was?), so he wanted to rub her out. But for the life of me, I can't remember what she found out, or HOW she found it out, given she wasn't the smartest person ever, and that she didn't hang out much with the Platts. ????
