Welcome to corner_kick! Your one-stop shop for... Okay, never mind. corner_kick is dedicated "srs bzns" football/soccer discussion. It was created with the intention that fans of the sport can engage in serious discussions about their favorite teams, players and countries without being labeled as "uptight" or as "having a stick up their @$$".

If you're tired of feeling like you have no place in certain communities or other places of the web because you don't feel like talking about how hot So-and-So is all the time and would rather talk about how well he plays (or how poorly...), then this is the place for you. If you're tired of feeling like you're often too fangirly than some of your LJ friends but would rather see your favorite baller happy with someone even if it's not you, this could also be the place for you. And if you're tired of not feeling any love for your favorite team because no one else seems to like it or are feeling too much hate and just want a place where you can be around people who won't put you down for like it, well, my friend, welcome!

This isn't meant to be a community to replace anything else. We don't care how many communities you're a member of, as long as you willingly participate in the community and contribute something, even if it's just a comment. We'd love to see this community be active, and we hope everyone enjoys it here. If you don't always feel like being serious, you can very well join in the madness somewhere else for the time being if you'd like, and if you'd like to take a break from the madness, you're welcome to that, too! We'd just like to keep the craziness to a bare minimum here, focusing on discussion.
