Hey guys, I'm sure you're all as stoked as I am about the upcoming Chris Cornell tour supported by Juliette and the Licks! That's a pretty awesome lineup right there.

I just wanted to give you a heads up that Juliette and the Licks' new album Four on the Floor will be out on July 24th, 2007 - and you can preorder it now at The Militia Group store for just $8! While supplies last, all preorders will recieve a free poster and button. It's a pretty sweet deal.

Come check out three songs from the album on Myspace or Virb!

Download the Chris Cornell concert from MSN [11 May 2007|09:28am]

tigerfaerie
It took me awhile, but I finally have it all uploaded to where others can download it. As it is the archive of the concert, not the live feed (I was having issues ripping it that night), it is missing 4 songs: the 3 Audioslave songs he played and 'Seasons'. But it's still a fabulous concert (I would watch it for the rendition of 'Sunshower' alone).

Anywho, here it is. Enjoy!

Download link

Download torrent here (I will seed it myself for 24 hours. Hopefully that's enough for others to grab it too).

Keep in mind it's a pretty big file. More than 700MB. But it's worth it, really.

The funny hair interview [12 Nov 2006|01:22pm]

tigerfaerie
A while back there was a vault thingie that if you inserted your Revelations CD while visiting the site, it would bring up an interview track-by-track with Chris. They claimed it would be updated regularly with more snippets.

Well I've been visiting it weekly to find the rest of the vids of Chris talking about the album. And I swear it's never changed.

So through some sleuthing, I managed to get all of the short vids of the interview. Yes, the interview where Chris has funny hair.

However when I converted the files to another format so that I could join it all into one big file, it completely messed it up. Therefore I don't have just one video to share today, but rather 13 (one on each track and one of the OF video). I'll probably throw them up on youtube later too (as in tomorrow or later).

Anyways, enjoy!

Revelations, One and the Same, Sound of a Gun, Until We Fall, Original Fire, Broken City, Somedays, Shape of Things to Come, Jewel of the Summertime, Wide Awake, Nothing Left to Say But Goodbye, Moth, Original Fire - Video

AUDIOSLAVE will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Monday, August 28. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). To find a station near you, check out www.rocklineradio.com.

AUDIOSLAVE will release its third album, "Revelations", on September 5, but don't expect to see the band on the road until 2007. Frontman Chris Cornell told Launch that unlike the group's previous releases, this time AUDIOSLAVE plans to let fans spend some time with the album before it goes on tour. "Let the album come out for awhile," he said. "You know, the first two records we were out, actually, before they came out. We've done three records in four and a half years and toured a lot. This'll be one to just kind of let it go for a minute."

"Revelations" is preceded by the first single, "Original Fire". The album's title track is also being used in the Madden NFL 2007 video game.

This fall Cornell plans to finish recording his second solo album, which he expects to release in 2007, following up 1999's "Euphoria Morning". Cornell has also recorded "You Know My Name" for the upcoming James Bond movie "Casino Royale", as well as a song for the independent film "Bug".

solo album [14 Aug 2006|06:59pm]

Audioslave
August 14, 2006, 7:00 PM ET
Chris Cornell has tapped Steve Lillywhite (U2, Morrissey) to produce his second solo album, which will be released early next year via Interscope. "I'm always writing," Cornell told Billboard.com last week. "There's a song here, a song there that I wouldn't be able to put on an Audioslave record. Audioslave's really been more of a collaboration, anyway, and I'm a guy that writes a lot of songs, and I write a lot by myself."

Cornell also co-wrote "You Know My Name," the theme song for the new James Bond film "Casino Royale," with composer David Arnold. He described the track as "more uptempo and a little more aggressive than any other Bond theme has been, maybe since Paul McCartney ['Live and Let Die']. It has an orchestra, but it also has some angry sounding guitar, and it's got feedback."

As previously reported, Audioslave's third album, "Revelations," arrives Sept. 5 via Epic.

Hey, babe, what's your sign... and stuff [25 Jul 2006|09:10pm]

angry_sar
[ mood | giddy ]

I don't know about anyone else here, but I am a self-professed astrology fiend... so naturally when I get bored I like to evaulate my tastey boys in different ways (hmm... sounded so dirty.. heeehee)

So I looked up all things Chris in a couple of my books. They even have a sleep styles reading... heehee

(New with the LJ cut deal... hope this works)

Chris stats:

sign (duh!)-- Cancer (I know everyone's read up on that)

body type -- ectomorph (the archetypical ectomorph is tall and thin, with long legs and narrow torso... with a minimum amount of visible muscle. The ectomorph is the most mentally intense and physically sensitive of the three types. Cerebral, attentive, artistic, ectomorphs are introverted and prefer privacy and solitude to social interaction. They're often inhibited about their bodies and their emotions, keeping both to themselves. Relaxation and deep sleep can elude the ectomorph due to the nervous energy that courses through his system. It's especially difficult for this type to find a comfortable balance between body and mind)

dosha -- pitta (well-porportioned of medium build, fair yet ruddy skin, precise speech patterns, sudden hunger pangs, a determined walk, and an aversion to direct sunlight. Personality wise... warm, friendly, charismatic, with a curious mind, a love of challenges, and enterprising nature. When the pitta dosha is out of balance, he can turn irritable, severely critical, combative, and jealous. Under pressure becomes stressed out and short-tempered, may become hyperconscious of time and fixated on completing tasks)

posture & sex (mmmmm) -- "if a man has a relaxed posture and uses plenty of range of motion when he's in the vertical mode, chances are he'll do the same in the horizontal mode"

hands -- air hand (powerful communicator, intellectual and non-emotional (?) and given to reason and logic, but who is also confident and full of hope)

soul urge -- 2, harmony and diplomacy (charm, adaptability, and receptiveness are his gifts, he also shows an affinity for music and rhythm. When not at his best, can become oversensitive, cowardly or deceptive)

I-ching -- yin (cool, refined, fiercely territorial, both a gentleman and calculating politican who uses his natural charisma to pull off the best deals he can... real estate, luxury goods... He can charm people from all walks of life and easily gain their trust. When it comes to romance, he'll settle down with a (preferably curvaceous and busty) woman who can be a perfect public partner as well as a caring lover)

chinese astrology -- dragon (an energetic leader, likely to be idealistic, professional, aggressive, and dynamic, generous and intelligent. Rat, boar, rabbit, monkey and tiger are his designated soul mates)

birth order -- second youngest= middle (natural mediator, open-minded, sympathetic, can make almost anyone feel comfortable. In the interest of being helpful and constructive, can become chronically critical. Tends to avoid the spotlight, don't feel the need to make bold moves or publicly assert themselves... can be misinterpreted as weakness or insecurity)

elemental -- wood (generous, self-confident, dignified, harmonious, compassionate, adaptive, independent, energetic, yet have a tendency to take on more than can be managed and have a temper that can be difficult to control. Needs freedom and movement in their lives and have a passion for growth, expansion, beauty and awakening)

tree -- elm (on good days, honest and faithful partners who are noble-minded, generous, practical, stylish, humorous, and by the way, quite attractive in the physiquie dept. On bad days, can be unforgiving, bossy know- it-alls.)

*whew* There you have it.... the complete run down. My fingers are tired...

I got my info from :

"50 ways to read your lover" by Todd Lyon... good book with many more interp stuff if you're interested

Finally announced! [19 Jun 2006|06:14pm]

tigerfaerie
Audioslave will release the third album of its four-year existence early this fall. "Revelations" is due Sept. 5 via Epic, as part of the band's unusual arrangement under which its music is released on a rotating basis by that label as well as Interscope.

First single "Original Fire" will hit U.S. rock radio outlets July 18. The 12-track album was produced by Brendan O'Brien and is the follow-up to 2005's "Out of Exile," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Audioslave has yet to unveil tour plans in support of "Revelations."

Here is the track list for "Revelations":

"Revelations"
"One And The Same"
"Sound of a Gun"
"Until We Fall"
"Original Fire"
"Broken City"
"Somedays"
"Shape of Things To Come"
"Jewel of the Summertime"
"Wide Awake"
"Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye"
"Moth"

Chris's 'goddess' necklace [10 May 2006|09:08am]

tigerfaerie
Okay this had bothered me for some time. And now that I have decent images of it, I can stake my claim. Heh heh.

Anyways, I know Chris was brought up Catholic and is more or less anti-religion now (not anti-spiritual, just not so much for the big organized religion thing). Which makes sense to me.

What doesn't is him wearing a goddess necklace. Never really struck me as the kind to practice the wiccan ways. But then again I've not met him in person, so maybe he does have a wiccan vibe.

I know Chris rarely does anything without some reason behind it. Does anyone know the reasoning being his goddess necklace? And it's not that I want one, because I already have one. I just wonder why he wears it.

Images from 'Preaching to the end of the world' (aka the video where Chris flirts with the camera);
