I drew a picture! :) This is just the finished line art. (I'll post the finished version, when I'm done.) It's below the cut and a little large, but completely safe for work. cygna_hime requested I make a separate post of this, so I did!
Also, here is my WIP coloring job. I changed Aeleus' smile and I'll probably mess around a lot more before I'm done.
I'm sorry if I'm a little late replying. I haven't known when my internet connection is going to work lately. We're calling someone out to look at it though. :) |

Hokay, so... I'm very slowly putting together a multichap backstory fic for the apprentices, Even-centric. I'm trying to keep it as close to in-game as possible for all but a few aspects, and so after replaying/watching the scenes from KHII in the basement of the castle, there are some things I can't wrap my mind around:
I. How exactly is that Heartless factory set up? Is the actual 'Heartless' part the underground area, or is it that giant room that you just need to take a left and walk through the computer room to get to? I never really understood how that all worked... *is dumb*
II. I need probable reasons as to why there is a GIANT PICTURE OF XEHANORT behind Ansem's desk. Especially because he doesn't have pictures of the other apprentices lying around.
III. Time frame- At the start of KH1, Kairi (who will feature in the fic) is 14. Just so I have this straight, she came to the island 8 years ago, meaning she was 6 when Radient Garden was destroyed, right?
I figured that since a lot of us like to come up with little theories as to why things are as they are in KH, someone might help me out? ^_^U |

In an effort to spark some activity in this comm (c'mon guys! Post! Comment! ;_; ), here's something I've been telling Cygna I would do since, uh, before the comm was created (I need a bit of time for these things, okay?), something that looks at one of the only pieces of canonical original six interaction we have - an analysis of the Xigbar+Zexion cutscene in FM.
For those of you who haven't seen this yet, here, have a YouTube link. (Link is subbed into English.) Watch it, for the cutscene is wonderful and glorious and you won't exactly be able to understand this post without seeing it (obviously).
First off, a slight digression on why I'm writing this. As said, the cutscene is wonderful and glorious. In fact, before I watched this cutscene I had never given the Xigbar/Zexion pairing a second thought. Afterwards, I was converted. "Omg their interaction!" I squeed to myself (being a not-so-secret fangirl, and not having anyone to squee with.) "The basis for the pairing is so obvious!"
I was surprised to see that people didn't seem to agree with me on the matter. Xigbar/Zexion was pretty much completely unknown - and more, the few people who said anything about the cutscene seemed to have interpreted it very differently from the way I did. In fact, the two main things i saw people say that made me a) boggle and b) decide to write this post were
- that the cutscene showed Zexion was afraid of Xigbar
- and that it showed Zexion was Xigbar's bitch.
I mean, I am all for differing interpretations and all, but not only can I not see any hint of the above two things in the cutscene, as far as I can tell it pretty much actively disproves both of them.
That said, I did realise that although I, upon watching the cutscene, immediately went "OMG OMG OMG THEIR INTERACTION" it wasn't quite as obvious as all that and one did need to perform a bit of analysis to get there.
Ergo, this post.
Finally, a note - I'm trying to make this as objective as I can, clearly mark everything that's speculation, consider different interpretations and in general try to explain precisely why I'm coming to this conclusion about the scene rather than any others. That said, interpreting this kind of thing is still a very very subjective matter and a lot of the time I'm building a lot on pretty minor things, so if you think differently about any aspect please do post - I'd really like to hear other points of view :)
( Yeah, yeah, I should probably put this behind a cut seeing as it gets INCREDIBLY LONG. )
...thoughts anyone? As said, I am really looking for other opinions on this scene. |
