AboutThis is a community for posting published poetry written after 1945. We're interested in finding new poets and sharing our favorites.
This is not a community for posting your own original poetry.
To be perfectly clear: Self-publication (e.g. vanity presses), college publications (where the publication is not published by an official college press and available for wider public purchase), blogs, and 'zines do not qualify, and we would strongly prefer that you not post your own work, published or not.
Other print publication is acceptable. Publication in an online poetry journal or other source that involves editorial review of submissions as part of its publication process is acceptable. Publication in print through a press for which the author acts as editor is acceptable if that press (a) has editorial guidelines for submission and (b) publishes the work of more than one author.
In order to help community members find more of the good stuff, and in order to help the authors profit from our admiration of their work, as part of your citation, please post a link to a source where the poetry in question may be purchased (e.g. Powell's, Amazon, the press itself, etc.) If unavailable for purchase, as in the case of out-of-print books and some online journals, please link to the source or a full reference for the source.
