hey! recently started using livejournal...anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys had ever heard of an obscure Nakata unit called NAGISA COSMETIC. it was formed between Ichikawa Nagisa (a famous Japanese street fashion model/designer) and Nakata himself. apparently they were friends and decided to team up to make a mini-album. they intrigued me quite a bit, so I decided to look for their songs.

when I finally found their music, I was impressed! they (well, she, really) sounds a lot like a less warbly, "cleaner" (in a musical sense of the word) version of MEG, and the music is actually some of his best! if you haven't already heard of this group, look for their mini-album! their best songs were definitely "C.o.s.m.e.t.i.c. music" and "Cosmetic Happy". the production is definitely the more lounge-y, upbeat shibuya-kei Nakata used to be known for, and it's great.

I was also wondering if anyone knew what happened to this group? I can't find anything new on Ichikawa and their website on contemode doesn't work anymore...did she go full-time fashion and abandon music? did she have a sex operation? did she die? the question is killing me, because without a doubt, this is some of the most refreshing work I've heard from him.

It looks like MEG has another album in the works entitled journey produced entirely by Shanghai Restoration Project.

I'm a little surprised that MEG has a new original album coming out so soon after BEAUTIFUL, I don't think that this has anything to do with that collaboration/concept album that she was working on with "various American producers".. I'm sure more details about this will pop up soon enough. I'm very curious.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to the album. I can imagine it being an interesting combination since I'v always thought that the Shanghai Restoration Project have a pretty nice sound, I think this will be a more electronic sounding version of her Room Girl album.. in terms of a throwback to a more mellow sound.

Also, did anyone else notice that this is the first time in a while that MEG hasn't had a title in full block capitals? Infact journey is entirely in lowercase? I can't help but wonder if this is a confirmation of closure that MEG  will never be working with Nakata again, I certainly hope not :/

Anyways, so many of you have been wondering whether or not A~chan had a boyfriend due to all the Kashi-BF & Nocchi-BF paparazzi photos, but NO, way off the meter! Apparently, A~chan is not happy with releasing their next album because she does not feel like the group is the Perfume they used to be, leading to an outburst of some strange epic proportions (apparently, according to the Perfume City BBS, there's "robots" involved, lol).

This was an interview, so I'm pretty sure the interviewers took this to an extreme, but I don't think A~chan would seriously jeopardize Perfume because it's sounding "capsule"-ish (yep, that's "apparently" what she said) and that having robotic voices and unrecognizable voices is killing what they believe is their direction for their career (lol, with the way I'm talking, I'm really making this serious).

Honestly, this is probably just a big publicity boost for their Triangle album. I don't think A~chan would start an uproar on this, and with all the BF-talks, seriously, they're humans just like us, so they were bound to get boyfriends now and then, so really, if you think about it, this is all just a publicity ploy (kind of reminds me of the Jon and Kate Plus 8 controversy LOL).

Hopefully this doesn't HURT them in the long run, but I'm a devoted Perfume fan that believes in the good of Perfume, not the bad things that'll possibly or not happen to them.

*Small little edit but this summary of what's going on is MY summary, so please don't be critical about it, as I was only trying to sum up about as much as what I had read in a limited amount of time. Forgive me if I make this seem like it's out of hand.

Seems like Kimura Kaela and Perfume are teaming up for a one time only special unit live. Pretty exciting seeing as its Perfume's first collaboration!

Hello, contemode community. I am ghos4016882, but most everywhere else on the interwebs I am darushibu. I have been checking this community for a while now and only recently joined livejournal and this community.

My friend first posted the Plastic Girl PV on her blog and I have been a huge capsule fan ever since. I was then introduced to Perfume right after Complete Best was released and became a big fan of the trio, as well. Much later I heard Meg's OK single and now enjoy all of her music made in the present and pre-Nakata (Kouro anyone :D ?).

Now some random music info about me.
Other artists I am into include Polysics, Pizzicato Five, DANCE☆MAN, Chatmonchy, Clazziquai Project, Loveholic, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Parokya Ni Edgar, Sambomaster...the list goes on and on.
I am a fan of many genres including (but not limited to), samba, disco, trad jazz, hardcore techno, and Nakata's electrodisco.
I also write music for my band and am learning about computer-based music. I'm not very good at either, unfortunately ^_^".


I like how everyone is very friendly here. I hope to be able to fit in and try to contribute as well as I can.
