What is ConnectiCon?
ConnectiCon is a convention with a goal to introduce, educate and generate excitement about Anime, Manga, Comics, Role Playing, Science Fiction, Movies, Fantasy, Cosplay, Strategy Games, PC and Console Video Games, and more.
This year's Connecticon was held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford on July 15th-17th.
ConnectiCon is a completely not for profit event. No staff or volunteers are paid for the work they do. That being said, this year's projected financial gains did not happen as expected. Now, we need YOUR help! More information is available at SaveConnectiCon.com, a donation site set up by some of our wonderful WebComic guests.
This LiveJournal community is for all volunteers, staff members, con-goers and fans to talk about the conference, give suggestions, blab about any of the mentioned genres, and keep in touch with eachother between cons. This is not just a newsfeed of con happenings and such. While I will be posting pertinent information, the main goal of this community is to CREATE a community where we can all come together, make friends, and have fun during the rest of the year. If you're looking for purely news and updates on the Con itself, please see connecticon.org's news listings.

1) Flaming and/or trolling will NOT be tolerated.
2) Be respectful of your mods and fellow members.
3) Try to keep things moderately on-topic.
4) Please don't spam us with random community whoring. If it's related in some way to any of the mentioned genres of dorkitude, then fine. When in doubt, ask.
