Just to let you all know, the ConFuzzled website and forum will be moving to a new server in the next couple of days and while we anticipate this will go smoothly, some of our users may experience some brief outages while the DNS entries propagate around the world.

Dear attendees and friends,

Following the recent departure of our founding chairman, an election within the ConFuzzled staff has been completed and I am honoured to announce that I have accepted the role to take on the legacy of ConFuzzled.

The staff have continued to work their hardest on our plans for CF2010 during this time and we're excited with what we'll have in store for everyone.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in May for the best ConFuzzled so far.

Hello Everyone :)

You may or may not have heard recently that i'm resigning as chairman of ConFuzzled.

Well, before any false rumours start flying around, I'd like to advise you this is true. As of Tuesday, I've handed the convention to our very capable vice chairman, Dingotush who is heading up the interim team in charge of the convention.

The convention itself has been a whirlwind adventure for me over the past 4 years, from its initial conception at EF12 to the first convention in 2008, to the wondrous things planned for ConFuzzled 2010.
If you had to ask me, i'd do it all over again in a heartbeat and i'm incredibly thankful for the breadth of talent and brilliant things the team have achieved so far. Some of the things planned for next year's convention continue to blow me away and i'm incredibly proud of everyone involved.

Running a convention for many years takes it out of anyone, and sometimes we need a bit of a break, which is exactly what i'm going to do. I'm taking a break for a while to concentrate on more personal endeavours.

I can say for sure that the convention will continue to grow and be successful without my involvement because of the great team involved.

Rest assured, the team are very proud of what I've achieved as well and I will be back on the team at some point in the future.

Thanks to everyone for the great memories you've given and i'll see you at the convention in May for a fantastic time! :)

It is with regret that the staff of ConFuzzled must announce the departure of our chairman, FurbleFox. He has chosen to step down from his role, for his own personal reasons.

Over the years, he has put a large amount of time and effort into making the convention what it has become, and without him it would likely never have happened. For everything he has done, we are hugely grateful and owe him the most sincere thanks.

An announcement will follow soon regarding the appointment of the new chairman of the convention, and we hope that you will join us in welcoming them to the role as we prepare fervently for 2010.

We're looking for artists and writers again!

There's just six months to go until ConFuzzled 2010! Between now and the end of February, the CF staff will be looking for fine examples of original anthropomorphic art and writing of a distinctly scientific style. If you feel like you have something you would like to see featured in print that 250+ people will take home with them, then please submit it to us. Details on how to do so are at the end of this post.

I know this seems like a lot of text, but please follow it to make sure you submit material that will look excellent when printed.

The theme for ConFuzzled 2010 is ‘Science!’, so please ensure it fits the theme.

In summary:

• Submit non-sketch CMYK art at 300DPI (shortest edge a minimum of 900px), preferably in PNG or PDF format.
• Submit writing in RTF or TXT format, without images and without excessive formatting.
• Supply a link.
• The final date for submissions is February 28th 2010.

As many of you are aware it's time for RBW 2009 this weekend!

All of the ConFuzzled staff would like to wish everyone involved on the RBW team good luck and we hope you all have a fantastic, fun filled and stress-free time.

We can appreciate for you this year's been a bit of an uphill struggle with wholly new staff, a new venue and we're really pleased for you, to see all the effort you've put in come to fruition.

If you're going, remember to give the hard-working core staff a pat on the back and maybe buy them a drink!

Quite a few ConFuzzled staff members will be at RBW, so we hope to see you there!

We are currently in the process of sorting out the Dealers' Den for next year's convention. Tables will be slightly larger and there is a lot more space to move around - especially for those who visit the Den in fursuit.

So, this is an open call to all artists and merchants - if you are interested in having a table at next years' convention please drop us an e-mail at dealersdenandart@confuzzled.org.uk with details of who you are and what you intend to sell.

Please note this is NOT registration. This is just so we can gauge interest and help us work out the layout.

As you know, putting a convention together is a very hard task and sometimes whilst working with new technology, things don't always run as smoothly as it could. 

We want to make sure our registration system is absolutely perfect before releasing it out into the wild, hence we're announcing a delay to the opening of ConFuzzled 2010's registration period.

We will not open registration on 31st July as initially planned.

The delay shouldn't be long, as we need to thoroughly test our new system and we'll give you an update shortly as to when we'll be opening formally.

This time, we're looking for specific people who can do a dedicated task.
As our team has got bigger, we're needing extra staff to help us run things smoother for areas where we have the least expertise.

Web Designer/Branding/System Administrator
We need a dedicated person, with experience in the field of website design and creation.
Experience in XHTML/CSS/PHP/SQL is required and a experience or a desire to learn Ruby and Java would also be adventageous.

We are looking for someone who can respond to problems quickly, with flair for graphic design to help us show the ConFuzzled name to the furry world.

Accountant
We need a dedicated person, with experience in the field of company accounts.
We do our own accounts OK at the moment, these are done by the Chairman, who's time is ever fleeting away, so we need someone dedicated to come in and help us out.

Experience in this field is required as you would be filing the annual returns with companies house and completing year end final accounts.
