I'd like to revamp my layout a little bit. I'm not sure if this look is possible with Component but I'll never know without asking, so here it goes... Overall, I want everything to stay the same, including my little birdy, but I'd like to change my navigation to something to this effect: (image). Is this achievable? Help?

Thanks very much in advance! ♥

I looked through the tutorials and memories. I even looked at all possible set commands. But I still can't figure something out.

I want the comment header background colors to be different. One color for my comments and a different color for other people's comments.

Can this be done in component? Like my comment header background color would be black and the font is white. But for other people's comments the comment header background color is white and the font is black?

I saw this done in a friend's journal. It's not component style. I included a pic under the cut.

Can it be done? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I know how to set the comment background color for all, but I was wondering if you can have different comment header background colors for other people's comments.

Hi there,

I recently noticed that my layout looks really messed up in IE 8 (Layer #15404192). The sidebar components width is way out of proportions. I suspect that the problem may have partly to do with my Log-in component from this tutorial, since the complete width of the entries and the sidebar only fits when the user is logged in.
But even then the width relation between the entries and the sidebar is still out of proportion immensely. I tried to fix the problem by installing this tutorial, but the code seemed to be only working on FF and had no effect whatsoever in IE 8, so I deleted it again.

A few screencaps to show my problem:
Layout as it should look (user logged out in FF)
Layout as it should look (user logged in in FF)
Screwed up layout (user logged out in IE8)
Screwed up layout (user logged in in IE8)

Thanks for any help in advance!

P.S.: I tried to tag this correctly, but I'm not sure, if it's alright, so feel free to edit! ;)

I've tried everything I know but I can't figure out how to get rid of the 1px border around my entries & sidebar. Help?!

My layer ID is #6234734 and I've made it viewable.

I've tried looking through the tutorials and FAQ's but have been unable to find a solution to my problem.  For some reason, my header image seems to have disappeared.  The image itself is on flickr and when I checked, it's still there and works perfectly fine.  Right now, all that's visible is my journal title.  How can I make the header image show up again?  I didn't make any changes beforehand.

Thanks!

so is it possible to stretch the comments bar (under the entry and above the comments) so it's flush with the rest of the page in Safari? :p

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Whenever I do a link or an LJ tag, it leaves a space. It doesn't do it in Firefox, but it does in Internet Explorer.
