| About: | ![]() Layout base code: CL - The Rules IMPORTANT. YOU MUST READ ALL THE RULES. OTHERWISE, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED. One. While the character's don't always have to like each other, and are human after all. (despite those rumors :p)... they are a team. So same goes for your fellow RPers. Any meanness, unnecessary attitude, will be reason for removal. Two. Because of the adult nature of the show. With violence, murder, abuse, drug use- and many other 'disturbing' topics.. including death. Anything going in-depth, or descriptive (PG-13+) should be put under Lj-cuts. No need to make people uncomfortable. Three. One character per person is easier on most. However, if wanted. You are aloud more. But, as common courtesy.. leave some for everybody else, if a character is unused. You may 'fill' in that role till comes a time where there is someone else wanting it. OC's if accepted - can be unlimited. Let your imagination run wild ;) Four. To save confusion, and to keep with reality. One crime. One CSI (or Detective) Unless the cases are connected, or they are like Detective Flack and his mysterious popping up on two cases in one day. Five. Please, please, for the love of all that is CSI. Try not to be TOO out of character. Mac coming to a crime scene in sweats, or worse - pink. Stella saying 'Oh my gosh' every time a case takes a unexpected turn. Danny being so mushy as to say 'Hunny bun' etc etc. We love them. But not even that love, can make them change THAT drastically. So don't be stupid, seriously. Though, I, nor the writers hold any responsibility for what they do when drunk. Breaking of this rule, will cause a warning. Six. Chat-speak. RPGing is not texting, instant messaging. Correct grammar and spelling, or at least, structure of the writing to fit your character is necessary. And, please, spelling; is important. Use spell check people! Seven. If you're interested in joining, fill out the application, once read.. a approval will be made, unless certain character has been double-requested or otherwise. Eight. Tags, you know what they are, so please use them. Obviously, we don't want tags about every single detail of the case. But whoever is on it. Whoever is involved, tag them. Nine. You must put Anaphylactic shock in the subject of your application comment, to acknowledge that you have read the rules and accept them. Ten. Most important rule - HAVE FUN. FAQ - Can I make a OC (Original Character)? Yes, just apply on the application post as you would with a regular character, and then wait for approval. Can my character be a criminal? Not at the moment. Once we've established a team of CSI's or at least most of them. We will then be open to more add-ons. However, if your OC turns to the dark side and becomes the 'bad guy' that is fine. What happens when I get a warning? Warnings are serious, and hopefully you never get one! Warnings only happen if you have displayed unnecessary behavior, or repeatedly written OOC. After two warnings we will have to ban you. :p Do I have to have previous experience with Role-Playing or Fan-Fiction? No, as long as you have a open mind. And are familiar (or obsessed) with the show. After all if you are a character, you have to know them, right? It is vital that you can write decently enough for it to be understandable. No one likes to be confused. Can my character be from one of the other CSI Shows or another fandom? As of now, no. We are trying to keep it just CSI:NY. Sorry! You can comment on the help post about possibly doing a one time crossover with a character from a different fandom, though.
