1. NO REFERRAL POSTS, FREE IPODS, OR ANYTHING SIMILAR! Free samples also, even though they may be helpful, they often expire quickly or aren't available everywhere
2. NOTHING ABOUT CHILDREN! I realize that parents need to save money just as much as everyone else, but there are literally HUNDREDS of webpages that parents can get ideas at - I want the information in this community to be applicable to the largest number of people.

3. NO POSTS ASKING WHERE YOU CAN FIND INFORMATION/THE CHEAPEST RATE/ETC...! This is something that is extremely specific & can only help a limited number of people. Google is your friend
4. NO POSTING JUST TO BRAG ABOUT SALES OR GREAT DEALS! If you're only posting to brag about the cheap book you found at a yard sale, or a great buy on pasta, save it for your own journal. Not everyone has the same sales as you.
5. NO SELLING SOMETHING! We're all trying to SAVE money here
6. NO GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEMES!!! Again, we're trying to save money, or change our lifestyles so we can spend less money. Not to mention, most get rich quick schemes are pure BS anyway
7. NO OFF-TOPIC POSTS! If you're starting your post with "this may be off topic, but..." then stop there & don't bother trying to post it. If what you're about to post doesn't have something about saving money in one way or another, than it doesn't belong here
I want this to be a friendly community - I realize the rules are a little strict, but I want people to be able to come, browse through, & find that around 85% of the posts are helpful to them in some way.
