Recruiting for CWIV begins!
It seems that the general mood is to prefer the Choose Your Own Adventure idea, so that's what we're doing.
Each participant will, when their turn comes up, be given the panel preceding theirs, and a text option ("If you want to kill the dragon...") accompanying it. They then have to produce the panel that results from taking that option, and provide a specified number of options that may be taken in response.
Each person's panel will end up being a single webpage, looking like this:

If you want to sacrifice the sausage to your dark masters, turn to page 183.
If you want to look behind the painting for secret safes or passageways, turn to page 40.
If you want to press onwards into the heart of Assyria, turn to page 209.
Some of these options might mean progress - in which case, the panel will be handed down to another participant, together with the option in question. They then produce their own panel and options, and so on. Some will lead to catastrophic dead-ends - which will be handled similarly, but as a supplementary duty for people who want a bit more work.
Some people will have two panels (each with an option) leading towards their panel, and will have to somehow work it so that these options become congruent. These will most likely be in the minority, so if you don't want to be lumped with this onerous duty, there's no need for you to be.
It'll all make sense when we're doing it, I swear.
Sign below if you're interested. Also mention if you'd be interested in taking on some instant-death dead-ends, or if you feel up to the challenge of the bottleneck nodes.
Clarification: signing up for dead-ends is in addition to doing a non-dead-end panel, not instead of.
The actual process won't start until after CWIII is complete and on public display, so there's no rush. There's also lots of time to recruit. Get to it, minions.
