Summary : Once upon a time, there existed a giant tree that was the source of mana. A war, however, caused this tree to wither away, and a hero’s life was sacrificed in order to take its place. The angels bore the Chosen One, who headed towards the tower that reached up unto the heavens. And that marked the beginning of the regeneration of the world.

Colette is the next Chosen of Mana to undertake the Journey of Regeneration in order to regenerate the dying world of Sylvarant. On the Day of Prophecy, Colette receives the oracle at the Martel Temple and thus began her journey to heaven. Together with her two childhood friends Lloyd and Genis, her teacher Raine and the mercenary Kratos hired to protect her, they set off on a journey to regenerate the world.

Wow, well.. I can't believe my eyes. A community based on magGarden, just my luck ♥!

I have a few favourites including: Heart no Kuni no Alice ~ Wonderful Wonder World, Tactics, Monochrome Factor, Aria, Otogi Zoshi, Erementar Gerad (which I will be reading soon), Mother Keeper, Mahou Kabushikigaisha... uhh.. you get the story. XD;

Seems like the main character of this story ('New Paradise') is a girl with a winged hat? The flash advertisement up top has a nice closeup of her face. :)

I've only recently become interested in Comic Blade (well, Comic Blade Masamune) for Erementar Gerad: Flag of Bluesky. I tried to get it today in Animate, but one of the clerks told me that it was already sold out, and that the next one wouldn't come out until September. Is that true? I thought it was released on a bimonthly schedule.

Anyway, I found this community when I was trying to find more info on Flag of Bluesky, so here I am! Hope to have a good time here.

I gotta say I am most pleasantly surprised there's an entire comm for Comic Blade. ^_^

I picked up the Early Spring issue of Masamune today, and discovered that one of my faaaavorite artists of all time is working on a new series. I'm talking about "Archaic Chain" by Sumeragi Natsuki. Does anyone else like this one? I've been following Sumeragi-sensei's work for a couple of years now, and I'm very happy to see she's illustrating a shounen story.

I'm actually posting to ask if anyone might have past issues of Masamune. I'm looking for the first 4 chapters, and would be ever so grateful if someone could scan them for me. (I'm interested in scanlating the story.) I'd be happy to work out some kind of a deal with you - and of course I would gladly share anything from my copy of the magazine. It's got a Tactics color spread? <:) Thank you all in advance!

It's only after I read Moon Phase's review on J:E's ep 10 that I realized the series will be ending at 12 episodes. <_<; According to April CB, there will be an ep 13 that'll only be in the DVD vol 5 (released on August 24). I haven't watched ep 9 and 10 yet but looks like the anime will definitely go on a different path than the manga. Expected, I guess. *shrugs* So Tactics and J:E anime ending... Can't wait for EreGer anime! :D Still waiting for news on Aria's anime... (if they're still doing it)

Just got my hands on April Comic Blade so here be updates~! :D My CB Masamune still hasn't arrived... I've scanned some stuff but I'm having upload problems (again) so I'll try to put up those scans later. >_>;

The magazine has rough anime character designs for the above characters but I'll wait for the official website putting up the coloured version of them. They look exactly like in the manga, except Grayarts doesn't have his feathers anymore. ^_^;

The anime opening song is "Forever...", sung by savage genius. Ending song is "Yakusoku", sung by Kuroda Michihiro. CD singles for each song will be released on May 11.

Oh, a mobile phone game for EreGer is also coming out soon, if you haven't found out about that from the official website yet.

Other News

- Comic Blade Online got a renewal, so go check it out! :D

- Tactics will end at 25 episodes. Judging just from upcoming episode synopsises, doesn't look like Edwards will reappear again. ...... Huh. Oh well, I already lost hope over Studio Deen months ago, so this doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

- Peace Maker Kurogane's "Hino Arc" has finally ended. The series will take a break after this CB issue.

- Tengai Retrogical won't be in CB's May issue. Of course, it'll resume in the June issue. If it doesn't, all the fangirls will scream over waiting too long to see Yakou again. YAKOU. <3 Oops, I mean, KOTAROU. <3

- Comic anthologies for Tales of Rebirth and To Heart 2 are going to be released on May 28.

- The Digital Comic Blade DVD will be on sale in Animate from March 19! :D You know, that DVD that has anime clips of Erementar Gerad -Ao no Senki-, Sono Mukou no Mukou Gawa and R2 [rise R to the second power]? I've always wanted it but they only took mail-orders for it a few months back. So yay! ~~I hope someone will rip and share it online.~~

Following suggestions from survey replies, (if you still want to answer the survey, go ahead!) I decided to list up upcoming releases for March. I thought I would settle these things down first before April Comic Blade's released. >_>;

March 10

- Erementar Gerad 8 (Cover character is Greyarts. Limited edition comes with a mouse pad and small extra book, and the cover's background is grey ~~OH WOW PUN WITH GREYARTS NAME~~)
- Erementar Gerad -Ao no Senki- 2 (Cover character is Jeane. Limited edition is exactly like EreGer 8's but the mouse pad illust and small book's contents are different)
- Peace Maker Kurogane 5 (Cover has Tetsu and Okita and limited edition comes with an Okita Souji figure. Finally a new volume after a year of no new release! If you're wondering, PMK has been going slow in CB. Chrono-sensei decided to put the main series on pause and is currently running the "Hino Arc", which focuses on young Hijikata and Kondou and 9-year-old Okita)

I enjoyed her(?) yomikiris in both issues of CB Gunz. Anyway, if you haven't check out other CB artists' official websites, then do so by going into CB Online's Links page! :D

Oh yeah, Gamerz Heaven will be taking a break for some months due to Murakami-sensei being ill. (Or so that's how they announced it...) And "Rise R to the Second Power" has been taking a break for the past 3-4 months? And I don't know why. Did I miss an announcement?? >_>;;

We're getting Mag Garden Music in the future. I can see a Square Enix-clone coming up... Mag Garden seems to try achieve in everything lately. Man, I remember the days when Monthly Comic Blade was the only thing they published. Oh God, I feel like a freak following them throughout all these years.

Since quite a number of people watch this community now, I just want to know what kind of crowd we have right now. I really hope everyone who reads this will answer, just so that I can know what to do with this community. ^_^; Just simple answers will be very fine.

1. Do you buy Monthly Comic Blade?

2. If yes, do you follow it monthly or just buy it when you want to? If no, do you want news that are in the magazine? (Like upcoming tankoubons, etc)

3. If you don't follow Comic Blade, so that means you only follow the manga or anime of CB titles? (Like how I watch the Jinki: Extend anime but don't read the manga... Yeah, that sounds stupid for someone who subscribes to CB...)

4. Optional question: Anything you want to request for me to do in this community? Polls, etc?

Because this community seems dead. Come oooon, nobody wanna fangirl/fanboy over Jinki:Extend or something? I watch it but anyone else I know that watches it are GameFAQs users and they whine a lot. =_=;

Erementar Gerad

Anime will start on April 5, 6PM on TV Tokyo! In case you weren't quite updated, the anime's official website updated some weeks ago with a lot of additon to the Gallery, like characters' face expressions. *drools over Cisqua*

And some things that have been confirmed to be changed in the anime is the title logo (which you can see on the website) and Ren's weapon appearance. I'm not sure what to say about Ren's new look but I guess it looks as good as in the manga.

Other news are a PS2 fighting game and a GBA Adventure + Battle game coming soon in this year. I'm no fighting game fan but I think I'll buy it to get the Cisqua VS Wolx battle again. >:D Oh, Greyarts will be on the manga vol 8's cover. *fangirl scream*

Jinki: Extend

Not really news, but Moon Phase's cyan made a spoilerific timeline for the whole Jinki series. Good for those who read the manga but get confused with the timeline, like me. ;)

Tales of Symphonia

CB sure has gotten their hands on a good RPG title. A comic anthology will be released on February 28 and its manga series will start running from the upcoming April Comic Blade! The artist will be Ichimura Jin.

I just wish that Mag Garden will announce a Tales of Rebirth comic anthology, though...

Erementar Gerad's anime official website has opened! There's no confirmation yet but supposedly it'll start in Spring. :) Personally, "シスカのド派手な銃撃戦！！！！" is what I am mostly looking forward to OMG I CAN'T WAIT CISQUA KYAAAAAA!!!11 (Of all the good-looking males in this series, I became a rabid Cisqua fangirl, instead. Huh.)

Jinki Extend

Official website has been around for awhile and there are a few news up. The anime character designs aren't up yet, although they already revealed them in Comic Blade. Is anyone interested to see the character designs? I won't mind scanning if anyone asks. And below is the cast list. I don't really follow the manga (just read bits here and there in Comic Blade when I find interesting scenes) so I'm not quite sure with a couple of the characters' names. If there are mistakes, please DO tell me. ^_^;

Since I don't know where else to announce this, I shall use this comm for good use.

Studio Bones will be animating Jinki Extend. Apparently they're planning to make 39 episodes for it, so far. I don't care that I'm not a Jinki fan, but [insert fangirl scream here].

I reeeaally hope Jinki Entend is a typo... And "Sorejaa Yoshida-kun" -> "Demon Prince Yoshida-kun" is quite a plain title change, even though they're not wrong.

THANK GOD THEY DIDN'T CHANGE TENGAI RETROGICAL. *hugs it tightly* >_<; How come they didn't license Nishi no Yoki Majo, though?

That's all I wanted to say. Credit to AnimeonDVD (which credits Jascii, which credits Moon Phase, which credits Nikkei...) But isn't that interesting? I think it's almost certain that Loki at least is licensed...

Does anyone read the manga series "Kenja no Nagaki Fuzai" aka "The Firstking Adventure" by Fujino Moyamu? I would love to follow this series but I started buying CB a few months after this series started so I missed a few of its first chapters. I hope someone can make a bit of an introduction for me. It's based on the popular Japanese fantasy novel series by Ogiwara Noriko, which I've always wanted to read since 2002 but couldn't find the novels. I did buy a different novel by the same author but the literature level was too high for my Japanese knowledge. @_@;; Haven't finished reading Comic Blade yet but I'm gonna enjoy reading this manga series. Look out for Rune, the Harry Potter look-alike. XDD
