Mutants are gladiators.
After the death of Charles Xavier, Revolve became the home for all mutants, whether they like it or not. Stripped of their rights, fitted with collars and powers suppressed until their matches, life on Revolve is difficult and rigid. Their days are spent training for fights, working at the island's amusement park or dreaming of some day earning the outrageous sum of money with which to buy their freedom.
What would you do? Would you play the game? Fight the system? Start a revolution? Plot your escape?
The future of mutantkind rests in your hands.

I have been a huge fan of the Bat Man universe since I was a child and can safely say that Ledger's performance as "The Joker" was absolutely brilliant and I am saddened at the fact that I will never witness him play this role again.

 | 03:43 am - Request! My girlfriend and I are working on a project and Google's pretty much useless. I'm attempting to compile a decent list of comic characters with tattoos, piercings and/or other various body modifications.
I've got a few, but I know there's more and for the life of me, I cannot think of enough.
Thanks!

 | 02:44 am - Comic book reviews/x poster Can anyone suggest some good websites where they review comic book titles, mini series, trade paper backs etc. Anyone collect the batgirl series? I am entertaining the idea of buying the set but am not sure if it is worth it yet. I am a bat fan and collect most of his titles. Anyone indulge in the same stuff?

 | 10:19 pm - a theory So, it was confirmed that Cap's shield is definitely in Iron Man. Given that Cap was frozen (!) with his shield, and that Marvel confirms that the Cap movie will be placed in WWII, there remains, on my part, some conjecture. Now, I think Marvel knows better than to fuck with continuity too much; hence, Cap should already have his shield (in the movie...but bear with me). I also think that they know better than to have Tony building one for him, with all sorts of bells and whistles (aka Iron Spider-Man). Here's what I think would make a GREAT explanation.
So, Cap gets frozen in WWII. Break off from standard continuity a bit, and let's say that Cap's shield was found floating in the water whilst his body went wherever. Soldiers retrieve it, and rather than return it to their superiors, it gets kept, the ultimate WWII relic.
It was established early on in Iron Man that Tony collects and stores antiquities. Perhaps, much like the painting, he buys the shield. The fact that it had military application intrigued him; the indestructible nature of the shield has great possibilities (both before and after capture) as a defensive tool. It is in his lab, obviously, so he can study its properties and attempt to recreate them. Nick Fury will, at some point, get the shield to give back to Cap.
Thoughts?

 | 10:14 pm - Hello Hi everyone. Just joined. Glad to be in the building. I attended the ny comic con recently and had a blast. Got back into buying comics hardcore like I do from time to time. I had a few questions if you do not mind. 1. Where is a good place to buy and trade comics online? I recently put in an order at mycomicshop and they seem to be pretty professional and structured. I am trying to complete all my Bat Man sets. I am close to being a Bat Man addict. 2. Any spawn comic collectors in the building? I am not by no means a fanboy of any sorts so I would love to know why most people hate todd mcfarlane so much? I watched a couple of interviews with him and sure he doesn't seem like the most affable individual and I am not pro mcfarlane or anything but I still love the way he draws and like to buy the action figures he comes out with from time to time. 3. What is the best comic read you have ever read?

 | 01:02 pm - Seasonal Marvels, so we can all have a marvelous time, Excelsior! The air is getting colder, leaves are falling and winter will soon be on the way. And since writing or creating something takes time, we'd thought we'd get started on preparing for a seasonal gift exchange for Marvel fandom.
Marvel has unfortunately been rather underrepresented where fic is concerned, so we're hoping to improve that.
seasonalmarvels is all about sharing and receiving virtual gifts, fanfic, art, icons, essays, ... whatever anyone is capable and willing to give.
We of course hope that people will join in the spirit of the exchange.
Sign ups start today.

 | 11:54 am I was looking at yuletide yesterday, and there was a link to several secret santa coms there. The thing that surprised me is that there wasn't a single Marvel or Spider-Man com. Since we shouldn't be expecting any nice pressies from Marvel in regards to good ol' Spidey, (unless Quesada decides to stop being an idiot and 'One More Day' isn't some lame way to get rid of the marriage and the unmasking) I was just thinking it might be fun to create a Secret Spidey com.
But considering the lack of Spidey and Marvel fic in general, with the exception of X-related- or Young Avengers-fic, it might be better to keep things simple and have a "Secret Marvel Santa" thing going.
Would anyone be interested in this kind of thing?
Poll #1072165 Secret Marvel Santa
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 42Would you be interested in participating in a Secret Marvel Santa
Pressies could involve graphics, icons, fanfic, prose, reviews of new issues, essays .... whatever you can make, and what you think your recipient would be interested in.
Any other ideas about what this should involve?
Do feel free to spread this link around and if people are interested, would anyone feel like helping me create or co-mod this thing, cause I'm not really sure yet how such a thing would work.

 | 03:05 am - Conversations with Neil Gaiman and Marguerite Abouet in NYC So today was the perfect example of dreams coming true. I got to NYC around 3:30, walked around a bit. Went to Nintendo World and picked up Pokemon Pearl and Wario, Master of Disguise. Then I made my way to the event, and as I walk up to the building, who is standing out in front? Neil Gaiman himself! No huge crowd. Only him, a rep from the Pen American Center and a few people (daughter with her grandparents and mom). So I actually got to talk to him! I told him about Shadow and Wednesday and told him how Shadow is a trouble maker and he says, "Shouldn't it be Wednesday? He's probably biding his time!" I told him I loved his accent, and as you can see, got a pic with him. The event was cool, won't go into detail, but despite what I was told he did sign stuff (I got my program and ticket signed), I'm giving both away, since I have his autograph. Oh, I mentioned I had met him before and he asked where, and said he had a really good time in Cambridge. I ended up chatting with this girl and we went and had dinner at the Hardrock Cafe. Home now, and still on a high!
