I think sexuality is such a misunderstood subject...we either think of physical anatomy, sex education, or raunchy media portrayals. I find it amazing how many men, and especially women, suffer from sexual disorders, due to lack of proper sex education. Same thing for sexually-transmitted diseases: in the U.S., as of 2005, 25% of females have herpes (the std, not just mouth sores) and 20% of males have this type of herpes. Shocking, right? Teen pregnancy is on the rise for the first time in several decades. This is where abstinence-only education has gotten us...

Wow, I really ranted there. But I think that youth aren't well enough educated (just because teachers don't teach about sex, doesn't mean the students won't have sex) and I'm also interested in the paraphilias and the mental side of sexuality.

Oh...and thanks!

Yeah I know how it is with the teen pregnancy thing. My county had the 4th highest teen pregnancy rate in the state of Maryland (Baltimore being the highest).

Almost all of the local public high schools have nurseries and child care centers built into them. This is great that they offer it so that teenage mothers can continue their educations...but we shouldn't need it!
