I finally found International Delight's Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer at Target today .. It's AMAZING. It actually tastes like 'pumpkin spice' sounds like it should taste, unlike Starbucks' pumpkin spice lattes, which were disappointing this year. There's not enough pumpkin flavour..

Pumpkin pie spice coffee + warm chocolate chip cookies = heaven.
11th-Sep-2006 03:55 pm - new drink......

Today I was in need of coffee and happily discovered a freebie.  Yay!  Well I wanted something different so decided to mix it up.  I ordered a white angel (my usual) but instead of coconut, I wanted raspberry. And of course triple shot, Iced!   Mmmmmm it is sooooo yummy!  The barista said she had never made one before, asked how it tasted and what I wanted to name it.  I laughed and said lets call it a pink angel.  Then she asked if they can spotlight it on the reader board coming up.  Wow!  I made a new drink!  Now a little irony... remember that silly names quiz....

8. SUPERHERO NAME: ("The", your favorite color, favorite drink)

The pink white angel (lol)

I read in one of my autumn communities is that Starbucks has already started selling its pumpkin spice lattes for fall. While I absolutely LOVE these, I feel WRONG for having one in August! I'll wait for after Labor Day. :) But anyway, I just thought I'd pass the word along.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a well caffeinated and chocolate laden weekend. I picked up 5 pounds of Cafe Vienna coffee from my favorite coffee shop on Friday. It's an independent place in Owensboro Kentucky called Beyond the Brim. The owner is a friend of mine, I call him my "Guru of the Brew." This coffee is the bomb. It's so smooth and rich, I am in eternal love. For my birthday this Friday, my best friend got me an early gift of Choxie. I got an Espresso Thin and some of the Dark Chocolate Truffle Meltaways. Both are quite tasty.

Has anyone ever had Scharffen Berger chocolate? I've had the 82% Cacao Extra Dark chocolate and it's pretty nice. I just had a taste of the Mocha Bar. It's 62% with freshly roasted coffee. It's not as dark as I like and it has a somewhat strange texture, but the flavor is even and strong enough to qualify as a coffee flavored bar. I would recommend giving it a try.

Anyone tried the white chocolate M&Ms? I'm not a fan of white chocolate, but I'm curious.

So here's a loaded question: What's everyone's favorite truffle flavor? Mine would have to be espresso or plain dark chocolate.

Hey there all!

Joined a while ago but this is my first post. I live in New York City and work in the West Village which affords me access to a plethora of great cafes, coffee shops, diners, you name it. I love all things chocolate and coffee. I do the Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, specialty stores and deli coffees - I just go where the mood strikes :) I have to say even more than burnt coffee the one thing I can't stand is --- WEAK coffee!!

This Easter I was given 1/2 pound each of Pumpkin Spice beans, and 1/2 pound of Chocolate beans from a specialty coffee store in the West Village called Porto Rico Co. and a handy dandy grinder.

I also scored some great Dove Truffle eggs at the local drug store - half price! Is there any better day than the day after a holiday when we can snag our fave chocs half price!! Wheeee!!! I'm all hyper now :)

Hey--I was wondering if anyone has tried Bloomingdale's (?!) coffee. I was bartending at a private party last night and they had this wonderful Viennese Cinnamon blend which apparently is from Bloomingdale's. ?! I didn't know they sold coffee! Anyway, I don't know if that was an anomaly or what, but I thought this was the right place to ask. :)

P.S. It was good. Really really good and rich and aromatic, like so good that milk and sugar were totally unnecessary. I had a coffee-gasm on the spot! :D

boom!, stupid
I'd apologise, only... nah.

I had a bizarre experience today. You see, I'd assumed that the little thing with cans in it near the other fridge in the Korean Supermarket local to me was also a fridge. Because it had cans of drink in it. And today I noticed some of them were coffee-type things so I thought I'd try one.

TRICKSY. IT WAS NOT A FRIDGE.

Yep, these were hot cans of drink, in some sort of bizarre ANTI-FRIDGE designed to fool me into nearly burning my fingers. Happily the company has an English-language version of their website so I can show you exactly what it was I inflicted upon myself. Here, the 'Santafe Hazlenut'.

I wouldn't say it was good coffee. Actually it went so far out the other side of bad that it sort of became good again, or maybe that was the sugar talking. I think I'll try a different one tomorrow.

And just to prove that I don't just dabble in weird Korean chocolate-and-coffee things, I also purchased some lovely greek chocolate-and-coffee things today. The company is called Bolero, and their little dragees are absolutely delicious. The flavours I bought today (and the ones I suspect you'll be most interested in) were milk chocolate cappuccino bits, and dark chocolate mocha bits.

Only complaint: these don't come in big enough packs. Of course, most chocolate doesn't. :)

PeaceOut
Stopped in at Shanahans again... new holiday coffee flavor - Jelly Bean!

White chocolate mocha with raspberry and vanilla shots, covered with a good thick 2 inch mound of whipped cream and colored jimmies.

Quite nummy, and now I'm riding out a sugar rush for some unknown reason... WHEEEE!!!
