UPdate on Wuzo (my female cockatiel)

We brought Wuzo home from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon. With a bottle of baytril she's getting 0.04 and some pro bacterial powder. I'm so fed up with the avian vet Im going to. They still can't find anything wrong with her!!! Well she looks awful. Yesterday I thought she was going to keel over and die!! I was so upset and depressed. I've given her baytril three times now...and today (I'm on my lunch break from work) she looks a little perkier. She's only eating her millet spray...but at least she's eating!! and her poop is solid again. SO I guess whatever it is, is some sort of infection. I've got her in a budgie cage with a heat lamp, in my bathroom (the warmest room of the house). They still arn't being clear with me as to what the "egg like thing" we all felt was/is. *sigh*.

I hope Wuzo feels better really soon! I almost lost Elvis a while back, it's really stressful. You are a very good mommy to Wuzo and I'm sure your care is helping her improve.

When I had budgies, one of them got this weird skin infection. She would pick at it so much she would fall off her perch. The vet tried EVERYTHING, and she was hospitalized for weeks because the vet couldn't figure out what it was. My poor baby had to wear a collar so she wouldn't pick at it.

I ended up choosing to have her put down because she was suffering so much. I was 11 and it totally traumatized me for life.

I glad your birdy is feeling better! Sometimes vets don't know what's wrong with your pet and it's so incredibly frustrating!!! I hope they figure it out soon!

*hugs* Hope Wuzo continues to improve and the vet can give you answers at some point!
