Poor little Zest.
He has a brusied toe (claw?)
He's limping... I cannot remember him limping yesterday... maybe he did it in his cage overnight.
He still seems bright and alert.

It could also be some sort of leg or knee injury. If it doesn`t go away in a few days, I would consider a vet visit. It would also be a good idea to lower the perches in Zest`s cage for now and remove some of his most aerobic toys. If you have a `sick tank,` it might be best to put him in there for now, just to avoid re-injury.

Awww...poor Zest. I hope he feels better soon. *sends a get well card* Maybe he had a night thrash and hurt it that way. Or perhaps his foot got caught in the cage bars or a toy.

In response to Itdead, Bird have knees? Heh, I didn't know that!

Yup. The joint we can see (the one that looks like a backwards-knee) is actually the ankle. Up closer to the body, hidden by the feathers, is the knee. Perhaps you can have your avian vet show you at the next regular health check for your birds. Or if you happen to know any birds that pluck that area, you can get a look that way.
