More pictures
I got more pictures of Chacha. Blurry due to being from a camera phone sorry about that.

It's a finger puff!!

Just sitting around looking cute

His new cage, soon to be decked out in even more stuff!

Mmmmm, I'll have a plate of Chacha please.

Because every bird looks so much more cuter upside down

Based on the pictures do you think he is really a he? And what mutation is he/might he be?

Pied! PIED FUN!

(Unless I am wrong...I still dont know the mutation of my little demonic tiel. Though she stumps most people.)

He's a big ball of adorable!

Daww look at your little tiel idn't she just the cutest little thing. Prehaps she is a white faced cinammon pearl pied - for your sake I hope not cause that's one hell of a name!

Yeah that is what I thought! Minus the pearl...haha. Something about her definately makes her different from the usual white faced cinammon and I think it might be a touch of Pied? She's a cutie regardless. :D

Definitely a pied. Very adorable! It's harder to tell male/female. Females have a lot of striping on the bottoms of their tails but some mutations make both sexes look that way. Hey, if Chacha starts laying eggs...that's your tip-off!

OMG I though both males and females lay eggs!!! hehe just kidding. We are currently eggless.
He carries on and sings and talks which I have heard is a good male indicator- typical males always trying to get all the attention =P.

That's very true! He certainly looks male to me b/c his orange cheeks are pretty bright. He's soooooooooo cute!

I`d say that`s a normal pied. Can`t be whiteface, as those head feathers look yellow (whiteface means that there`s not yellow on the bird, at all). And that grey looks too dark to be cinnamon. I certainly don`t see any pearling.
So plain old `pied` it is.
What a handsome devil.

Unfortunately, pieds are notoriously difficult to visually sex!

Oh no he is definently not white faced I was just unsure as to his mutation as all the pictures of pied tiels I have seen have solid wing and back grey colouring where he has the odd white feather. Not that it really matters much to me I just want to act all smart and knowledgable about my tiel.

Pied is any combination of patchy color. Sometimes with a `clear` pied they can appear to be nearly lutino or albino, with just a small patch of grey somewhere. Your guy looks to be the other side of the spectrum. Mostly grey with a splat of yellow here and there.

I'd say he's probably a he, he's got a lot of yellow coming in on his face near his beak, but as ltdead said earlier pied's can be really hard to visually sex, you can check under his wings, if there are spots on the underside of his wings then it's most likely a girl, but if the wings are yellow (as is often common with pieds) that throws that out, though I've heard if you hold the feathers up to a light, when the light shines through spots can still sometimes be visible if it's a female.

Otherwise just go with personality, as you said, he's singing and trying to be the center of attention and just generally cutting the fool, those are usually male traits.
