Birds amaze me...
A couple weeks ago Squirt started 'crying' when I would walk away and leave her in a different room, whether she was in her cage or not. It's really kinda funny in a pathetic way. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't know where she would of learned this from either because I don't think anyone has cried in front of her before.

Awww..:( It's strange how birds will pick up on traits and things to get attention, express their mood etc. If I were paying attention to something outside of her Pearlcentric universe, she would move her wing as though it were hurt and shriek in pain. I'd stop everything I was doing and baby her, checking out her wing and petting her head. Then, later on in the day, she'd be fine again, flying around and stretch and whatnot...

Manipulative little brats, aren't they? ;)

Eriza doesn't so much cry as scream in a definite "OMG WHERE ARE YOU GOING GET BACK HERE MINION OR I KEEEEEEL YOU!" way x_x

my little guy used to get so upset when i'd leave the room... but as long as i whistled to him, he was all OK...

Every day when I leave for work Fiona hears me pick up my keys and makes a sad/questioning little shriek as if to say, "What? Where are you going? Why do you leave every day? Come back!"

Yeah I'm with joeshambro... if Zest is carrying on like a pork-chop in his cage I just wolf whistle or whistle anything else I am trying to teach him and he quietens down.

Suki did that for like a year until she finally got over it. Then I got another bird and moved to a different city and now when I leave the room Suki and Chiyo screech and keep screeching until I return.

Flippie screams whenever I leave, but I figure that's just because she's bonded to me. My tiels don't accept her, so I think she believes I'm the only member of her flock so she gets upset when I leave.

It's not really a bad thing (maybe annoying), it just means that they love you. ^_^

At least, I think so. XD
