Scottish star Ewan McGregor has revealed how a couple once mistook him for the ghost of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
He revealed that he was in London when Cobain ended his own life in 1994.
McGregor said that it was during a night out with his friends that he was accosted by a couple who were convinced he was the dead singer.
“This couple came around the corner and they saw me, and at the time I had quite long hair,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Britain’s Heart FM.”I think it would be safe to say they were on some form of chemical enhancement. The guy thought I was Kurt Cobain and he looked at me and slightly panicked and grabbed hold of his girlfriend and he asked me if I was Kurt,” he added.
He even revealed that he did not make any clarifications, and let the couple believe that what they had seen was real.
“I just went, ‘Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone,’ and I left them really confused in the street,” he said.

Rumour linked Dando to Courtney Love, then married to Kurt Cobain. In a new interview with Gigwise, the former Lemonheads frontman spoke candidly about his attitude to Kurt Cobain.
“Courtney was saying that we were having an affair - I was never attracted to Courtney."
“She was like ‘I made Kurt cry last night’. She is crazy”.
Continuing, Dando insisted that Cobain would know the truth in the after life. “It made me very sad and I was thinking, now that Kurt's gone, he knows what really happened. It really didn’t have to happen”.
The singer spoke of his admiration of Kurt Cobain. “Kurt was amazing, he could do so many amazing things but we never really got to know each other as Courtney got right between us. It was horrible”

KURT Cobain's estate has lost all the money left to his widow Courtney Love and their child, Frances Bean.
Investigators, forensic accountants and lawyers hired by Love found that the Nirvana singer's estate had lost more than $45 million cash and up to $705 million in real estate, the New York Post reports.
"I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude. This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy," Love's lawyer, Rhonda J. Holmes, of Gordon & Holmes in San Diego, told the paper.
"We will be filing civil cases ... within the next 30 days.
"There are many, many millions missing. We've only been able to track down $US30 million, but there is more.
"And then there is the real estate."
Bank accounts using Cobain, Love and Frances Bean's Social Security numbers were set up and used to buy and sell real estate across the US, Holmes alleges.
"There is now a web of homes which were bought, flipped and used to launder money - up to $US500 million worth," Holmes said. "Any of the property we can get back will be donated to people who have lost their homes in foreclosures."
Holmes said that Love only noticed the money was gone when there wasn't any left.

In Ian's contact with Kurt, Cobain had nothing to say about the portrayal of him in Gus Van Sant's Last Days, possibly because it was so arse-gnawingly boring that even Kurt himself didn't sit through the whole thing. Cobain does have some important information to pass on though.
"He was telling me that the famous album Bleach, there were three songs to be added to that but for some reason they were held back," Ian says. "I don't know if that's something you can research. Lyrically it was there but musically it wasn't. He felt that they should have been added to the album."
"He was making me aware for some reason of a cult or some kind of spiritual pathway he was trying to take or wanted to take. It's quite a bizarre one because he was telling me that he attempted suicide and failed and the failure was down to being found, but he wanted to pass over because he thought that he'd done what he had to do here and that he'd get closer to his pathway if he took his own life. I'm also a big believer that it wasn't suicide. I'm a big believer that he was shot as well. I got no names with it but he did show me a female in the room with him who pulled the trigger. It wasn't Courtney Love. The woman had dark hair, American accent, she was in her early 20s."
