Gothic Lolita Fashion
Gothic Lolita is a Harajuku street fashion. A post-modern vision of rococo decadence and victorian elegance, lolita merges innocence and macabre, sweet and urbane, femininity and feminism, in a surprisingly reflection of our times. Whether taking afternoon tea in chic salons or enjoying a night out at the trendiest club, lolitas are both at ease and incongruous.

 Hello,
I'm somewhat new to the lolita fashion (many years of admiration, and now that I have my own means, participation) and would like to meet up with other members or go to events. Are there any coming up? I live in the neighbor state of Wyoming and am willing to travel!

aww yeah!
Ladies (and gents):

We need a lolita weekend/getaway stat. Please post your ideas here! This is the brainstorming post. Mainly where/when/how/what and cost!

I am thinking something like, arrive early Saturday morning, in time for brunch, then do a fun activity, have afternoon tea, another fun activity, late dinner, movie and game times, sleep, wake up for light breakfast, activity, late lunch, activity and then time to leave! For the hardcore, we could arrive Friday night and do some sort of activity and dinner... looking for more ideas on what the miscellaneous activities can be! These can range from sight seeing, crafting, make-up tutorials, etc!

So next aspect is when. I am thinking February, April or May. March is another event I am planning but also Anime Wasabi! April is Starfest. February might be too early to save/ make reservations~! May would be the best month, I think, but let me know your thoughts. If we did it in May, maybe we could even do it over Memorial Weekend?

Where... this is possibly the hardest. We could go easy and do it in one of the cute victorian bed and breakfasts that are around i.e. Glen Eyrie in the Springs, Castle Marne in Denver or we could be more adventurous and go to a place in the mountains-- several places in Georgetown, or even the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park (personally that's my vote!).

Cost... this is the trickiest! Rooms are likely at least $100/night but you would be sharing with at least one other person. Then all of the activities and meals. Let's come up with some ideas first and then I can figure out the price. I will definitely try to keep things reasonable as I know not everyone has reliable sources of income. I'd like to give everyone time to save though so we can have a fab time! Let me know your ideas! I've wanted to do this for like, two years now, haha.
14th-Dec-2009 08:35 am - Tutorials
aww yeah!
Ladies! I was thinking of doing some skin care and make-up tutorials that are lolita-oriented... would anyone be interested in this type of thing? I could do it online or we could do it in person, sort of like a class. What do you think?
13th-Dec-2009 11:36 am - Anyone for tea?
I'd love to have tea again! I know it's a bit last minute, but if anyone would like to join me, let me know!
What: A Victorian afternoon tea!

When: 2:00 PM, Saturday, 19th December 2009

8th-Dec-2009 09:31 am - December Lolita Event
aww yeah!
Hey everyone! Sorry it took me so long to post about Saturday's meet! I kept changing my mind about what I wanted to do but I have finally made a decision. Even though the Georgetown thing I posted on facebook didn't work out, I think we can have a casual and cheap (need money for presents, right?!) but still fun event! Here are the deets!

WHAT: Princess and the Frog and White Chocolate Grill
WHEN: Saturday, December 12th!
TIME: Let's meet at movie theater at 4:00 pm, Movie starts st 4:40 pm at the United Artists Meadows 12. I think we can do dinner by 7pm! White Chocolate Grill

COST: The movie is $10, and click here for the dinner menu. If no one likes this, we can always go to Cheesecake Factory!!

Also, Katie and I will probably be hanging out at the mall beforehand, around 2:30 if anyone wants to come hang out early! We'll be doing some hardcore make-up shopping so here's your chance to learn some make-up tips from experts! (LMFAO) -- Let me know if you want to meet-up and I will give you my mobile if you don't already have it. I can't wait to hang out guys! This movie looks sooooo adorable!!

Also, if the roads are bad... we will likely postpone, I will post early enough so if any of you girls from Colo Springs come up, you won't be f'ed!
Hello all!

Today [info]mia_cupcakes and I went to House of Commons tea on 15th and Platte in Denver and as we sat down for delicious tea, our server told us that another girl dressed like us had been there the day prior. She was described as having red hair and dressed in sweet Lolita with a pink head bow.

...So now we'd like to know who it was, and if we can meet you for tea one weekend!

cute smile

Okay~! So I hope you all don't mind a really silly question.

I recieved a really cute dress from Anna House  and just looking at it is making me giddy.  I have a petticoat, bloomers and a head dress, so all I need are knee highs.  Easy enough~

Soo what's my issue? Picking a pair of shoes :/ Yeah, you'd think that'd be easy.  But I also ordered a bag for the dress, and while the image was a pastel pink, the bag ended up being a dusty rose shade. ..Soo I'm really worried about getting a pair of shoes, and they end up being to bright/dark due to monitor resolution and or my poor judgement.

I'm thinking of getting these shoes: But yeah.  ;^; I'm blind, I can't tell.
