Thanks! ^^

After speaking with Terry, we both decided on several new board positions that need to be filled. If you are up for the task, then please, please apply!

The curren open positions are...

------------------------
Secretary
The secretary is to keep track of all organization meeting minutes, dates and events in a calendar, and write emails to keep all student members informed of club activities.

Webmaster
The webmaster will develop and maintain a website for the organization, updating it with new events and information as needed.
**note: I am redesigning the website, if you want to take over for me that would be great, otherwise just an overall maintenance will be cool too.**

Public Relations
The PR liaison is responsible for the advertisement of club events, recruiting new members, and keeping contact with the student population.

Japanese Media Chair
The Japanese Media Chair will be in charge of making sure JSA shows a manageable amount of Japanese media (mostly movies)

Sakura Project Chair
The Sakura Project Chair is in charge of communicating with the Park and keeping JSA informed of the Sakura project, this involves any mention of additional funding needed or any new details.

Japanese Gourmet Chair
The Japanese Gourmet Chair will be in charge of all food-related events. Although it may sound less important, the reality is food-events really help get our name out in the open more.

------------------

I really want to kick it up a notch this year with JSA, if your interested in a position please please apply, we won't swamped you with too much to do.

If there are several members interested in participating in one position, depending on the position we may make it a committee and see what goes from there.

Also, remember we are having an event Thursday night at Morewood. We will be sending emails about this this week so try and make it if you can!

:)

And umm... Thanks! :)
~Tyler

Hey everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed your mid-semester break. Time to change gears again and face the second half of the semester!

This email is probably going to be relative only to Seniors and Juniors, possibly Sophmores. Forwarded below is an email from Credit SuisseSecurities (Japan) Limited. They're looking to hire both full-time and summer interns at the Boston Career Forum, so if you're interested, take a look below.

Now, for those of you who don't know what the Boston Career Forum is, I'll give a quick overview of it here. It's basically the biggest Japanese-English bilingual job fair held annualy in Boston. This year, it's going to be from 11/17-11/19 (Fri-Sun). There are tons of companies there, and a frightening amount of students there as well. Registration is free, so if you're looking to work in Japan, this is probably a good place to look! I won't be going, but I know a few people who're planning to go, so if you're interested, let me know. I can give you the other peoples' addresses, and maybe you guys can set up a car pool. Or split hotel fares.

Sorry to those who this didn't apply to. I promise we'll do something again soon.

Hello everyone.

This is a reminder to all of you that "Linda Linda Linda" is showingtonight (Friday) at 7pm in McConomy. The movie is about a group of highschool girls trying to put togethera band for a school festival. It's gotten pretty good reviews. Besides,it's FREE for everyone, so if you're interested, come on by!

Also,"Dennsha-otoko" will be playing the following week (Oct 6, Friday) at 7in McConomy. This is a cute love story between an otaku, which isJapanese for geek, and a girl he met on a train.

Enjoy your weekend!
