The writers of many shows in America went on strike due to the fact that they no longer have a contract with the networks assuring them any money they deserve. The networks make a pile of money with the shows and now the writer's shall not even get a small percentage of that. That's why they went on a strike which also means they stopped writing. According to Kirsten Vangsness the crew of Criminal Minds is running out of scripts in about one week. That means in about one week the whole crew will be out of job, the actors, the producers, everyone. Without writers there are no scripts and without scripts there is no show anymore. Just because the networks refuse to give the writers what they deserve, namely a small percentage of what the networks earn with the show that wouldn't even exist without the writers.

We the fans can support the writers so they will hopefully soon get what they are asking for: A contract with the networks that makes sure they won't have to be down on their uppers once the show is over. We can sign petitions in the internet:

http://www.petitiononline.com/audience/petition.html

http://www.petitiononline.com/WGA/petition.html

http://www.petitiononline.com/f4wga/petition.html

http://www.petitiononline.com/wga2007/petition.html

Edward Bernero, executive producer of the show, has written a letter to all the fans of Criminal Minds and posted it on one of the numerous fansites:

http://criminalmindsfanatic.blogspot.com/

Just go down till it says "Edward Allen Bernero speaks to the fans of Criminal Minds about the writers strike".

Help the writers fighting for their rights or after only one half of season 3 there will be no more Criminal Minds!!!

Since our team seems to be complete enough...

I guess we could have our first 'case'. Any suggestions?

You may just give us a location and some information about what happened and we'll try to make up a story out of it. Or you may as well start the story. (If you choose the latter one please post under a new thread.)

I suggest we're just writing the play like a story and everyone writes as his/her character which includes speech, actions, thoughts, emotions etc. Please, don't write for another person unless no one plays the person (that means you can write as any victim or suspect or policeman and so on). And please, if you complain about someone or insult someone address the character and NOT the person who plays it!

That's all! Let's get started and have fun! :)

Welcome...

...to the Criminal minds role play community. This is my first community and actually also my first attempt to do a role play. So I'm pretty new to the whole thing. I've kinda done research in other role play communities before I decided to create one on my own and I figured out it's not that hard. :)
New members are definitely welcome although the membership is moderated. But that shouldn't pose any problem. I just want to have a look first on how wants to take part in the role plays.
There's no necessity to stick to a PG-13 rating, so I'm up for pretty much anything except a character death.
I hope there'll be more potential profilers around here soon so we can start our first role play.
Cheers,
Caro
