Cranial Fracture Recordings is excited to announce the opening of the next chapter of Berserk. This club is now doing special theme nights every few months at an awesome new venue, upstairs at Bar Broadway. Saturday 27th October, Berserk is going "Weird Science"; grab your lab coat and doomsday machines, this is an event absolutely not to be missed!

In addition to the usual lineup of regular DJs playing the latest and greatest industrial, electro, EBM, aggrotech, and psytrance, Berserk will have live visuals by VJ Damage, extra special props and decorations by Zero, and an intense atmosphere you will not find at any other club. We are offering a prize (yet to be determined, it will be announced as soon as I have confirmed it) for the best dressed in the theme of the night (i.e. "Weird Science", interpret that however you want).

We also have a new venue, upstairs at Bar Broadway, which features:

    · Massive PA with sound engineer on hand
    · Full-screen projection with live VJ
    · Great vibe
    · State of the art lighting system
    · Friendly staff and cheap drinks
    · Later opening hours (we go till 4 am!)
    · ultra handy location, just 2 MINUTE WALK FROM CENTRAL!

Entry is $12, or $10 with a flyer
    Doors open at 10pm
    Hope to see you there!

    Berserk Update
Berserk will be returning shortly, after a brief hiatus. We have a new venue; upstairs at Bar Broadway. This is a great venue with excellent facilities and professional staff. We are planning some really fantastic events at this venue. However there are going to be some changes. Berserk will be running less frequently; I would probably say at this stage every 2 or 3 months. There will also be a slight price increase. Basically instead of a regular monthly club, Berserk is going to put on special themed nights with amazing atmosphere and decor (yes even more amazing than before), and hopefully everyone will get really dressed up and make it a special event to remember! We will of course have Sydney's best industrial DJs playing the very best industrial dance music, there will be no change or compromise whatsoever on that front.

As part of this new look Berserk, I am going to need a street team. I am currently canvassing for people to volunteer to be part of this team. This will mean you will be asked to hand out fliers for Berserk and try to get people to come along! I unfortunately cannot afford to pay street team people, but you will get free entry, free drink vouchers, and will have a chance at winning a prize at every Berserk event (the prize is yet to be 100% confirmed, but probably a gift voucher at Utopia Records on Broadway). If anyone is interested in this, please contact me via email: leon dot tranter at gmail dot com

Any offers to volunteer help for Berserk will be enormously appreciated!
    Thankyou!

ps: the next Berserk event is on Saturday 27th October. More details coming very shortly.

    Venue change
Due to serious problem with the Mandarin Club, that don't look like they are ever going to get fixed, I am going to have to find a new venue. I was thinking of canvassing people's opinions on this.

What do people think about factors such as
    - location; does it have to be in the city? Would somewhere like Surry Hills, Darlinghurst, Newtown be acceptable to people? Livehouse (Lewisham) is too far out for my liking.
    - day; what do people think about Fridays? I may not be able to get Saturdays at a venue. Sydney hasn't had regular goth/industrial clubs on on Fridays for a long time. Is it about time we changed that?
    - cost; if I find a place that is good but is going to charge me a lot of money, would people be ok with paying more for entry? Like say $12?
    - what are your priorities for a venue? Access, staff, mood, sound system, lighting, drink prices, security, etc.?

    Any and all feedback appreciated.

Cranial Fracture Recordings is excited to announce the next installment of Berserk, Saturday 21st July @ the Mandarin Club.
We are now sadly without the presence of the great DJ and musician Virulent (from Plague Sequence and Crystalline Effect), who is moving to Europe :( But this Berserk will feature some exciting faces, both returning and new...
Our special guest for July is in fact one of Sydney's best electro DJs, Neotokyo. This man is the creative and driving force behind the Bloodlust and Neotokyo clubs, is a support DJ on the Combichrist tour, and is of course currently plotting the mega-exciting Bloodlust Carnival, coming up soon.
He will be joined by DJs Dasein and Badpauly, and we will also be featuring the debut of DJ Jenetik, all playing the latest and greatest electro/industrial/EBM/psytrance/aggrotech/etc.

Our venue is the Mandarin Club (corner Pitt St and Goulburn St) and features:
    · Massive PA
    · Full-screen projection with live VJ (Damage)
    · Disco-light dancefloor
    · Great vibe
    · Lots of couches and quiet corners
    · Friendly staff, and super cheap drinks ($4 spirits and beers all night)
    · 5 MINUTE WALK FROM CENTRAL / TOWN HALL

    Entry is $10
    Doors open at 10pm
    Hope to see you there!

Cranial Fracture Recordings is excited to announce the next Berserk, Saturday 19th May @ the Mandarin Club, featuring a LIVE performance by Sydney industrial artist Nonplus, plus our regular DJs, and a guest spot from debut DJ Badpauly.
Nonplus initially self-released an EP entitled "Still", shortly before impressing many with his performance at the Sydney show of Canadian power noise artist Iszoloscope in 2004. He has recently had another EP "Keep me here" released on US industrial label Frozen Empire Media, and performed at the Melbourne industrial music festival "Distorted".
Nonplus will be performing at Berserk with a guest live guitarist, and providing a preview of the new material he has been working on since his last EP release. This is a Berserk not to be missed! Nonplus will be joined by regular Berserk DJs Dasein, Zephiran and Virulent, plus the debut appearance of guest DJ Badpauly, all playing the latest and greatest electro/industrial/EBM.

For the second Berserk of 2007 we will be featuring a special guest DJ, Gher, who organises the great Opposition nights at the Livehouse. Next Berserk: April, not May
Just a quick note to clear up some confusion, there was a poster at the last Berserk claiming that the next one was on 21st May. That was an unfortunate typo; Berserk is in fact on next month, Saturday the 21st of *April*, not may. Apologies for the mistake.

We have confirmed our lineup for the next installment of Berserk (flyer should be ready soon). However, we are always on the lookout for new guest DJs and live acts to feature at our club. If you want to send us a demo of your DJ set or your band's songs, please send an email to info at cranialfracture dot org.

    12am - 1am: Plague Sequence LIVE
    1am - 3am: DJ Dasein

    (apologies for X-posting)

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all who braved the unseasonable cold and turned up for Berserk on saturday night - I had a great (if somewhat stressful) time and heard a lot of really good feedback from people.
Big thanks also to all who helped, including the door staff, guest DJs (Simon and Jaimz both doing fantastic sets) and Steve (Zero) for more stunning decorations (for those who haven't seen them, they really are amazing).
Stay tuned for more info regarding future Berserk events...
