A Reminder

Guys, there's been reports lately of drinks being spiked at clubs. Whilst I know this isnt the first time it has happened, I figured it was time for a reminder.

Please, be careful with your drinks.

If you must accept drinks from people, go to the bar with them, and dont let them handle it at ANY stage. (of course, the best option is to not accept drinks from people you dont know and trust implicitly at all)

If you dont feel right, let someone know! There's tonnes of people you can tell - your friends, the bouncers, bar staff, the club promoters, hell, go visit whoever's in the DJ booth if it gets dire.

Keep an eye out for your friends. If theyre acting strangely, see if they're ok.

If someone tells you they think their drink has been spiked, or they dont feel right, dont ignore them or chalk it up to them having drunk too much.

And just as importantly - if you see someone acting suspiciously - let the bar staff, security, manager, promoter know!!

We need to keep an eye out for each other.

During the evening a friends bag was stolen from right behind where I was sitting. The bag was on the ledge on the wall that the toilet doors are on. It's burgundy velvet and is a cute little bag. It makes me sad when shit like this happens. Kylie (the owner of the bag) is the sweetest girl and doesn't deserve this to have happened to her. If you happen to know anything please contact me. If it was taken just for the cash then please return the bag and other contents to the Sly Fox - no questions asked!

Hang on to your shovels, ghouls and boys, because the March Ascension is going to be huge!

It's DarkElvis and Caterwaul's combined birthday Ascension, so it's going to be a riot (perhaps literally!). We'll be bringing you the best of the gals this time around, so expect lots of fantastic music from the femme fatales of the music scene!

There will be giveaways and prizes for the best dressed people (think drag, zombie, drag zombies... you get the idea!), and, to keep with the theme, every guy in a skirt receives something from the Cauldron o' Doom!

We've got Pebbles and Ariadne debuting behind the decks this time around, and other special performers TBA.

The Fox is also now open to 4am and beyond! No need to treck to the Townie to have those last few beverages!

Ascension is happening a little differently this month. DarkElvis and myself wont be there for most of it, so The Black Planet lads (and that mysterious man of mystery, Brian Emo) have kindly stepped in and will be making merry on the music-machines, under Monochrome's wise and watchful eye. After 1am, the Dark Elvis and myself will throw some drunken goth tunes your way. We can neither confirm nor deny the presence of suits that night....
