Y HALO THAR COMPUTER CRASH! I guess we meet again!! But, seriously. Twice within a year? My little heart can only take so much. And by "much", I mean no more.

Yes. My amazing computer (Sark 2.0) has finally died. Sark, you've been my buddy for the past few years and I love you for that. However, it's time to move on. Remember when I spilled grape juice on your keyboard? Or when you chipped my two front teeth? I'll never forgot those precious memories. Heck! I'll never forget YOU! No computer will ever compare to your resilient personality and performance. Seriously. You rocked.

Anyway, I wont be online much until my new computer arrives. Hopefully it'll get here soon.

Oh. Some hurricane named Hanna is supposed to hit us tonight. Personally, I think I should be nominated to handle these storms. While Hanna is a GORGEOUS name, something like Horatio von Liechtenstein would be much more fun. Wouldn't it? I mean, it rolls right off the tongue. Kind of like butter! BUTTER!

It's pretty good actually.

Who would have thought that finding some stupid paper from a desk would be so ridiculously hard? Or sinking 3 East India Trading Co. ships? Or sinking 4 Royal Navy ships? ...I guess I need to find myself a crew...and then a bigger hat.

oh...and Catherine's name begins with a C now. I think it looks much more professional and prevents her nickname from looking like a candy bar, ("Cat" instead of "Kat"). Oh, and expect more POTC stuff on my deviantart. I have another Hadras in progress and hmm...maybe I'll try my hand at Clanker. And OMG can you actually believe that there are other Maccus fangirls? I think like the only fish character that doesn't have rabid stupid mary-sue fangirls is Hadras. Hadras is too kyoot for them. But seriously, when I look at the mary-sue pages I'm like "OMG STOP TOUCHING HIM LIKE THAT YOU'RE GONNA GET GANGRENE/POISONED/YUCK ON YOU!!". But what can I say...mary-sues piss me off in general...and I made DAMN sure that Catherine would not be classified as one of them.

...time for a Mr. Attainable-related advice-seeking post! I thought I was pretty much done with these, but I guess not.

There's a church fund-raiser thingy that my mom and a couple of friends are going to be doing skits at, and tonight I found out that Mr. Attainable is going to be involved as well. I have the option of being involved if I want, but I'm not sure. Here's how I've broken down the possibility of being involved and seeing him there:

Positives:
1. I assume I'll run into him somewhere eventually, and at least this way I would be prepared for it.
2. Some (psychotic?) part of me feels like I need to face him, for reasons I don't fully understand.
3. If I could pull of the "I totally don't care that you're here" aura, it could be empowering or something.
4. I'm not hugely attracted to him anymore, which is an encouraging sign of growth on my part.

It could go either way:
1. He was always fun to be around. This could prove to be good or bad depending on how I handled it.
2. I'm not especially interested in participating in this thing, but it's something that I would normally do just because I've always been involved in this stuff at church. I'm on the fence about this point, going back and forth between the fact that I don't really care about doing it and the fact that I shouldn't let him be the reason I don't do things.

Negatives:
1. My self-control could crumble and put me back in the same old situation all over again.
2. It seems like a silly amount of stress to put on myself over an event that I don't really care about otherwise.
3. I've done such a good job detaching myself from him up until now; why chance ruining it all if I can avoid it?
4. I might find out he has a girlfriend or something else that would upset me because I might turn weak. (See point #1.)

So...help?

I'll make more eventually, but for now I have 4. I'll update this list as I make more.

NO JOBS LEFT at the work study fair...WHAT...THE...FUCK?!?!?! Good news is, I can keep looking for a campus job for two weeks and even get help looking for one. The bad news...they have me down for EIGHT HOURS A WEEK...T_T a little hard for someone who has never worked a day in her life. I mean, I'm gonna work over the summer,(hopefully at the Woodstock museum) but that's nothing compared to that.

On a nicer note, I love all of my classes and how they all perk my interest in some way, shape, or form. I had to write my first paper last night for my Witchcraft and Witch-hunting course which was rather enjoyable, (yes...HAND wrote it because I hate typing everything and it did say WRITE on the instructions). I'm not technologically advanced...

AND...I downloaded Pirates of the Caribbean Online which although at times it is INCREDIBLY hard, is rather fun.

Also...I found somethin' else to amuse me...

Author Stephenie Meyer, writer of the best-selling young adult "Twilight" books, has put the fifth and final installment in the series on hold in protest after a partial draft was posted on the Internet.

Meyer, the U.S. author of "Twilight" and its sequels "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn," said she had a good idea of how the leak of "Midnight Sun" had happened as so few copies had left her hands and each was unique.

The novel tells the love story of a human teenager named Bella and her vampire lover, Edward.

"The manuscript that was illegally distributed on the Internet was given to trusted individuals for a good purpose. I have no comment beyond that, as I believe that there was no malicious intent with the initial distribution," she wrote in a posting on her website.

But Meyer, 34, said this was a huge violation of her rights of an author as well as her rights as a human being as she owned the copyright and had the say when the book should be made public.

She said musicians and filmmakers also had the same rights and it was dishonest of anyone to download material off the Internet and to reproduce and distribute it.

"This has been a very upsetting experience for me, but I hope it will at least leave my fans with a better understanding of copyright and the importance of artistic control," wrote Meyer.

"I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on "Midnight Sun," and so it is on hold indefinitely."

Meyer said the draft that was released on the Internet was incomplete with messy and flawed writing but she was making this draft available to everyone to be a fair and because it added a new dimension to the "Twilight" story.

What is up with the few Democrats making a big deal about the VP choice for McCain? So what if she has a daughter who is pregnant, that makes her more human to me! So what if she is a mother still and has a child with mental disabilities?! Why should that even be a problem?! What good Democrats they are, I thought they were suppose to be more understanding. They are makin' it seem like a woman can't be a mother and still work hard and do amazin' work. My mother is just that! She works hard and is a mother! She knows how to balance it all out.
