For the fun of it [06 May 2009|01:08am]

srusselln
Hope nobody minds me posting this, but I got an email from CafePress that they've added new items to their available products to sell. One of the things they added was the new water bottle that doesn't have all those carcinogens within the plastic. So I played around with a design for an X-STREAM BLU snack bottle.

Should you care or if you want to get anything, remember that I don't put any additional money on top of what CafePress charges for their labor.

Jolly Snowflake Day everyone! [26 Jan 2009|05:00pm]

srusselln
I definitely used this wonderful all-inclusive holiday of Snowflake Day to rewatch all of the Clone High episodes and wouldn't you know it, the ending still pisses me off. I would really like to know of another good cartoon that could possibly have a "worse" cliffhanger. I don't think there is.

Lets talk about other one season shows...

For example, "Mission Hill" had only one season, with 5 more episodes written. The shows last episode was not a cliffhanger. Its a show about peoples lives and their random occurances. There were over-arching storylines, but none while watching felt the need to be given closure.

"Undergrads" definitely has a cliffhanger, inwhich  you don't know of where the main characters lives will turn to next. Pete Williams has the whole story in his head but refuses to spill incase he does eventually get picked up again... Yeah right. I'd love it, but I know better.

"Gary and Mike" and "Stroker and Hoop" both leave you with a situation of whether or not the main characters get out of the mess they're in, not to mention simply live through the ordeal.

And for only a one-episode Korgath the Barbarian, jeez, I really want to know and see more. Too bad no one is telling what went wrong wtih that production deal. And for the crap [adult swim] produces nowadays, I have no idea why they didn't go with it, unless it was too good.

"Invasion America", (anyone remember that one?) that was another good, one season show. Luckily you can just read the books to find out what happens next.

"3 South", wow, what a funny show, (my friend hates it).

Any other cartoons I missed, or maybe don't know about? I'd love to gab about "Firefly", but I won't. Unless they make an animated series...

I don't know why this even crossed my mind... [13 Dec 2008|12:25am]

Well yeah. I do. I've been watching Dawson's Creek lately. All because of that interview with Chris and Phil where they talk about it. And now it's sucked me in. In that "so bad it's good" kind of way that a lot of my favorite movies and shows have.

So I got to thinking, I see a lot of correlation between the two shows. Definitely in the Abe/Gandhi/Joan and Dawson/Joey/Pacey friendships. **Dawson's Creek Relationship Spoiler Alert. Hi-light to read on white BG. Otherwise I don't know how to hide it.**

So if that's the case, than Joan would end up with Gandhi since Joey ends up with Pacey.. And they're the only two I never see together. Granted it's not like there's a lot of fanart or fanfiction for the series in general.

<End Spoiler>

Not sure why I felt like mentioning that. It's been in the back of my mind for a while.

Also, I noticed that the 'Best of' videos are being deleted from Youtube. Or were deleted a few months ago. Does this mean that somebody actually cares now?

He's never gone on record of not eating babies.. [28 Oct 2008|09:25pm]

srusselln
Only for the joy of the joke, take a look at http://barackobamaeatsbabies.com/ and try not to giggle and think back to a time when all we had to deal with was whether or not Abe Lincoln was a tot-muncher.

We all saw that video. He "couldn't wait to eat this... baby!"

Speaking of which, I saw something similar on TV, where, if I recall correctly, it was a spoof of a political ad, and they totally used the "Last year he said he was 15. Now he says he's 16." only using different ages, but the point was the same.

I was miffed at the possible stealing of the joke, but I can't remember what it was.

Because I couldn't find any. [06 Oct 2008|01:49am]

fuckapocho

I got into Clone High (erm... just yesterday) and I fucking love the episode with Marilyn Manson and his oh-so-joyous food pyramid song.
I was looking for a lj icon with an animated Manson but since I couldn't find any, I made one myself.
....And also decided to join the community. Hi.
I only have the DIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! part (but that's pretty much the best part out of the entire song).

Thank you. I can die happy now.

Complete list of songs used in Clone High? [04 Oct 2008|09:01pm]

jnshk
Hello, Wesleeeeey!

Does anyone have (or know where to find) a complete listing of the songs used in Clone High? The clonehighusa.com listings only seem to go through episode 9. Is there a listing for episodes 10-13 somewhere?

For that matter, was there ever a Clone High compilation soundtrack released? I would love to get my hands on a complete soundtrack of all the songs used in the show (including the theme song and original songs if possible).

Litter Kills Theme Song? [30 Aug 2008|08:28pm]

garrulous_one
Hey guys, surprisingly it seems Clone High sites aren't as popular as I thought! I've only found about three so far! It's a fantastic show though, I only recently got into it although I've seen icons and heard references to it in the past.

In the "Litter Kills: Literally" episode, to make it more 'serious' they had a woman do the theme with a piano. I checked the two Clone High sites that have the names of music listed, but for one of them - it hasn't been updated far enough into the episodes and the other one just has the theme (regular) and some other songs.

Does anyone know where I can download this version? Thanks.

Edit: I actually looked further back in this community and found a download link. :) nevermind, thanks anyways though guys! >w<

Meet Phil Lord and Chris Miller (LA, California) [25 Jul 2008|07:48pm]

srusselln
Taking a break from their busy schedule with "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" are the two creators of the show we all know and love and are meeting during the week of August 1-7 with fans to talk about Television and their work at the Third Annual Independent TV Fest. Because I am 3 days away from buying my first house, I can not afford the plane trip out to California from Maryland. It sucks that I can not go, but I implore you all to go. I previously was able to attain a 10 minute video of the show from last year, which you can see on YouTube, but who knows if we'll be lucky enough to get that again.

That is where you come in; you and your video camera and your questions, such as Who did Abe want? Joan or Cleo or this mysterious Jah-Cle I keep hearing Abe stammer on and on about?

References to teen drama series or other things [27 Mar 2008|02:18am]

comicaze
So, I always love finding pop culture references in shows and after seeing the interview with Phil Lord and Chris Miller where they talk about how Ponce's death was a reference to both 90210 and Dawson's Creek, I've been curious about what other characters and events in things they've referenced. And plus I thought it'd be fun.

I'm actually not a big soap opera fan but I have several friends who are and I've seen some things with them. This is what I have so far. I'm sure there's a lot more. Historical references can be included too, I know several of those but I didn't list them right now.

Don't click the link below. We have apparently been spammed. I haven't seen the person that was given the moderating status around here in awhile.

So, I guess all I can say is....

PLASTIC BAG... PLASTIC BAG... PLASTIC BAG... PLASTIC BAG... PLASTIC BAG... PLASTIC BAG...

Big fan with a song request! [22 Mar 2008|11:33pm]

absolutdarkness
Does anyone know the name of the song that plays at the very end of the episode "Litter Kills?", and can also be heard in the background of the scene where Abe comforts JFK at the thinking deck? The only lyrics I can make out from it are "There's no point in holding back these tears, so I won't even try, cause now I know the meaning of goodbye." Google isn't helping any, and it's a gorgeous song, so...

*DEEP, DRAMATIC SIGH* [27 Feb 2008|08:25pm]

Im missing Clone High more than ever right now, jesus!
And by missing I obviously mean I wish it were never canceled.
Though with the post below me; we have some hope? God I'll pray we do.
I'm probably horribly wrong though.

Also, this is somewhat related to Clone High (sort of), but--I'm suddenly very very interested in John F. Kennedy.
The real JFK. Not just the cartoon one. I cant stop watching clips of him on youtube. I wish he were our president now. Or that he hadn't gone to Dallas that day, atleast. He was a wonderful speaker and had a great sense of humour. He made press conferences look real easy. Also, as everyone knows, friggin Marilyn Monroe sang to him 'cause he was that awesome.

(CUE SECOND SIGH)

ANYWAYS... back to Clone high again,
does anyone still draw fanart of it fhgfdhfd cause I can never find any except from this community,
or maybe a few off DA.
... Specifically JFK fanart though |D;

Exclusive Chris Miller and Phil Lord Discussion Video [25 Feb 2008|12:13am]

srusselln
From my newspage on MHCHRefuge.com
Back in September I teased that I was on the verge of getting some information about Clone High but that I didn’t want to say anymore in case I didn’t actually get said information. Well guess what, I’m talking about it, so that must mean I got it.Surprise! It’s a video of Clone High creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller at a panel that I oh, so wanted to attend, but I was already on my way to see Cal Ripken, Jr get inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame. If I could have, I would have blown it off, flown to California, and attended the Independent Television Festival (ITVF) where Chris Miller and Phil Lord were giving a panel on Clone High. Here’s the synopsis:

A discussion with ‘Clone High’ creators, Phil Lord and Chris Miller (How I Met Your Mother) about their show was created, sold, made, and unfortunately canceled.

Excited? I know I was. So I contacted the people running the festival and asked if they happened to have any footage of, or at the very least, a transcript of the panel. Well, I was excited to find out that there was footage and that I’d just have to wait a bit. Well, I got a Snowflake Day surprise when I found out that I would be getting it, on Feb 11th. If you’re still reading then you have more patience that I do.

Come and get it.
