And here they are.
And here they are.
The last time any real news came out about the 2010 movie was December of as year. (Columbia & Raimi Team on The Shadow)
Now, we see what going on is... nothing. "I don't have any news on 'The Shadow' at this time, except that the company that I have with Josh Donen, my producing partner, we've got the rights to 'The Shadow.' I love the character very much and we're trying to work on a story that'll do justice to the character." --Sam Raimi on Spider-Man 4 and The Shadow
Theshadowfan.com has the story "More Producers Tied to The Shadow 2010" for June, but I haven't read this anywhere else.
The theory is if The Shadow is to actually come out in 2010, we'll definitely hear something by late 2008.
Just thought someone might look in this place and like to know!

The Syracuse University Library is currently undertaking a project to record and preserve all publications of Street & Smith, the original publisher of the Shadow pulp novels. It doesn't look as though the project's current holdings include any of the Shadow books, but they have a nice list of all S&S' Shadow radio script titles.
A good portion of the titles can be found for download here.
I've also found a comprehensive list of Shadow books, radio programs, comics, and movies. Interestingly, the new reprints by Nostalgia Ventures are not in the original order.
Here's a link to where you can learn more about the book:http://shadowsanctum.net/history/r
p.s
the book has been out of print for a long time. copies usually go for well above $50.

And as a special bonus, here's a short story carefully styled after Maxwell Grant's immortal Shadow Magazine!
Rating: PG
Genre: drama, mystery
Summary: Death prowls the trail of the white stone tiger -- and only The Shadow can identify the killer!
Title: The Bengal Tiger

Here are four icons to prove it. All are sharable; just comment and credit me in your keywords.

Text on the first icon is a quote from Sherlock Holmes; the second and third are verses from T.S. Eliot's 'The Hollow Men'; and the last one's from Jules Verne.
If you were making a Shadow movie tomorrow, who would you pick?
Here are a few of my favorite Shadow links:
The Shadow: Master of Darkness -- huge amount of information about every incarnation of the character.
The Shadow Magazine -- reviews for all 325 Shadow pulps, and some other neat stuff.
Dial B for Blog -- just found this one, actually; a fun summary of the Shadow's pulp character, with plenty of quotes.
IMDB message boards for The Shadow ('94)... currently supporting some weird rumors about a second Shadow movie.
And of course... blackmask.com. (Shh. Search for 'Maxwell Grant'.)
Hi. For now I'm your friendly neighborhood moderator, which means that if you hate the color scheme, it's my fault. Other than that, I'll be keeping an eye on the community, steering topics back to The Shadow, and occasionally, if necessary, deleting spammers. When not needed for any of these functions, I am a regular poster.
This community is for discussion of all aspects of The Shadow, from the original pulp magazines to the '70s comic to the '90s comic to the radio shows and movies. Fanfic is also welcome with no discrimination based on rating (but please put R and NC-17 rated pieces under cut tags as well as longer fics).
