You must be of legal age in your state/country to become a member of the community. You must have your date of birth present on your profile page, or have a statement on your bio stating that you are at least 18 years of age, or 21 in some cases. Without this information, I will not be able to approve your membership. If you aren't of legal age, you can still watch and post in the community.
This LJ community is to showcase Clex manips.
First and Foremost:
This community defines a manip as a picture that has been modified with different elements (like a new head, background…) to create a new picture. You can see a simple example of how a manip is done here, and here another example where only SV caps are needed.
All submissions are welcome but I must request that they all be behind a cut.

Lex/Michael only manips
What can't be shocased here:
collages and graphics aren’t allowed. A collage is a graphic that is put together from several images and elements. They don’t need to belong together to create an artwork. Most wallpapers, LJ banners and covers are collages or graphics.
any manip that aren't Clex, Clark or Lex (ie: no chlex, no clana, etc.)
sexualy explicit manip featuring a character under the age of 18
This community will (undoubtably) contain mature themes/images as well as m/m pairings so please take responsibility for your own actions if you are under age by either a) surfing with caution, or b) not surfing at all. This is your warning for my protection.
Note to Manippers
All manips that is rated NC-17 must be friends-locked. For the others ratings, you are free to post them either publicly or friends-locked.
Notes for Members and Watchers
Feedback is much encouraged: it takes only a few seconds to look at a work of art, and during those precious seconds, I’m sure that you are thinking something specific about it. If this something is positive, then why not take an extra minute to actually tell it to the artist? I can guarantee you that it will be much appreciated. Even a simple comment like: “Aww, beautiful pose”, “Lovely colors”, “Great expression”, “I like it!” will do the job if it’s genuine. And if you feel like commenting more in detail on the work, then be my guest, do it! :-)
Polite constructive comments can also be made, if the artist indicates that they would welcome such comments.
No flaming of individual or artwork will be tolerated.
To be on the safe side, if you want to use/edit/repost a piece of artwork in any way, please ask the permission of the artist first.

Here some things that I’m checking to approve a new membership:
- Your age or date of birth (at least the year) is clearly written. I don’t have to read all the info of your bio to find it.
- When your LJ was created? Are you familiar with how LJ works?
- Are you usually a lurker? Or do you usually comment on your friends-list, including communities, when you enjoy something?
- Have you posted something in your LJ? Do you regularly update your journal?
- Do you have a history of disrespectful or poor behavior around LJ?
If your membership is pending or have been rejected you can email me to know why, I might have made a mistake. Or maybe you have change things on your LJ since you request your membership, and now you are within the criteria.
