| About: | Welcome to Clean Furs, an online gathering place for those of us who are in the fur fandom purely for the fun of it. We do not look down upon those that are yiffy, but aim to create a community that is clean, family-friendly and most importantly puts an emphasis on non-yiffy fun! We fursuit for fun and entertainment, collect plushies of our favorite characters, we enjoy furry art for what it is. Our community hopes to promote the furry fandom in a family-friendly light and allow the non-yiffy among us to discuss our fandom without the fear of the persecution that often follows the term 'furry'. And so there you have it. Please keep this community rated PG, as we welcome furries from all walks of life and age groups. Feel free to post your clean fursuit pics, plan friendly events with other furs, or just open discussions about the fandom itself, such as tips for performing in-suit while in family environments. This community follows a three strike, you're out policy. If you insist upon discussing sexually suggestive or explicit content within this community, you will be warned. A second warning and suspension will be issued if you continue, and you WILL be banned after a third offense. We do this to keep the beliefs of the community intact. The Rules 1. No drama: Although discussion is encouraged in this community, please do not turn it into an angst fest about how much furries are discriminated against, given a bad name, et cetera. We are working to help improve this image, not add to it! Also, there will be NO bashing against other aspects of the fandom. As the old addage says "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." 2. Please stay on topic: Fairly self-explanatory. Most any topic related to clean furries is acceptable, such as discussing new animated films or video games, planning meets and gatherings at conventions, offering links to art and fursuit auctions, or just discussing why you enjoy the fandom so much. 3. PG-RATING: As stated above, please keep the community clean. We do allow minors here, and so posting anything that you would not show your little brother/sister/cousin is not encouraged. For more information on this and on actions to be taken if this policy is violated, please see above. 4. Be polite!: Nobody likes a troll or finding flames in their comments, so please be polite to other users and watch your language. We allow some fursuit/art critques in our community, so if you choose to critique, please be helpful and not insulting. And if you are the one posting the object to be critiqued, please do not hound the other users who offer help, thinking that they have insulted you, 5. Images: If you are posting images, please post one preview picture no larger than 300x300. All other images should go under lj cuts. For information on using an lj-cut, please see the LiveJournal FAQ. 6. Don't be afraid to help out the mods!: Believe is or not, mods aren't that scary! But at the same time, they can't be everywhere at once. If someone is trolling the community, please resport to the main e-mail first instead of trying to solve the problem yourself!
