I hate cleaning. Probably because I'm SO. BLOODY. HORRID at it. >.> I'm organized; I just have my own sense of organization. Granted, even I admit that it's gotten pretty bad.

But it's all worth it, because Alex is coming to visit in two days~!! ♥

(Though, I fear we won't get anything done and just sit around playing video games the entire week.)

It's probably just stress. [12.09.09

I have made a crucial and fantastic discovery over the past week.

Wine is awesome.

That will be all.

It's especially awesome when you and like six of your classmates are out in the dining room sneaking glasses of it while cleaning up after your event. Oh yeah.

Meh. This is seriously the fourth time I've been sick this semester. Honestly, I don't think I've gotten sick this often since I was in junior high (I had a great knack for catching something every three weeks or so back then). I just want to hurry up and get this day over with so I can rest. I still have my online math class to attend and then Japanese class after that. I don't have any classes tomorrow or Friday. I'm really relieved for the four day weekend. I don't want to feel shitty next week during finals.

Then there's the fact that it was -15 degrees Fahrenheit this morning with the wind chill. I heard that it won't be going much above zero degrees for the rest of today. Bleh. I hate going out on days like this.

In between my uncle's wedding last Sat (pics later!), studying for Physics, doing my art paper, and studying for Michelangelo...I really just want some free time to play my videogames. .____.

I got to see Fantastic Mr. Fox on Sunday night though. New movie on my favourites list? YES! It's awfully pretentious, but I love the humor and the stop motion animation is sooo good.

One last note...

If pissing people off without meaning to was an Olympic sport, count me in for Vancouver. (Course, I'd need a passport for that, wouldn't I?)

In other news,
Finally watched Cloverfield and I can say I just found my new pet. ♥♥♥ Otherwise, the movie was a little predictable, but enjoyable. I really liked the camerawork (as shaky and migraine-inducing as it may be) and the juxtaposition between the attack and the "happy footage". :)

The fact that they explained the monster's rampage through Manhattan as being due to a case of separation anxiety is remarkably cute IMO :3 ♥♥~

The melancholy from the last entry is still lingering a little, but I'm trying to look past it; been wasting my time with video gaming, reading and trying to get back into my art. I'm thinking that starting a new RWB (complete with self-imposed deadlines and whatnot. Me thinks I've become something of a masochist.) will probably help get me out of this slump. Also brainstorming an art-related resolution - something appropriately masochistic that'll satisfy my workaholic self.

Also, some reminders to myself:

I've got a busy month ahead, huh? Joy. )

1. My one friend's existence. His name is Josh Coons and he is whimsical and dilettantish and completely bizarre, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in the whole class who likes him. We will be doing lunch--"lucy"--next Tuesday.

2. Having dinner with and hanging out with my friend Jimmy. I can be vulgar, explicit, and poorly behaved around him, because I know he'll give it right back to me.

3. My teacher told me I got an A- on my Catering manager's report~! Awesome!

4. The semester is almost over, and that means actual time to write. (I signed up for Imaginary Beasts, sob. The theme was apocalyptic fiction! I couldn't help myself!)

I managed to get a 75% on the online part of my latest Calc test. I'm pretty proud, considering I spent the greater part of last night and this morning cramming. I still don't know what I got on the part I had to scan in and send. Hopefully it will bring the grade up a few more percentage points. LOL.

Now I need to go over my lines for this role play we're doing in Japanese one more time.

I'm alive, really I am. There has just been a lot going on. Some of which has been for the better, however there's also been a distressing amount otherwise.

Not so much of an actual post as just a notice that I do, in fact, remember that this thing - and the multitude of friends I've made these past six years; you all mean more to me than I fear I ever properly express - exists. I'm still a little early, but it's been an interesting six years.

Happy [early] birthday, journal. What would I have done without you; venting about the woes of adolescence and the slow ascent-descent (I can't quite place whether it's an upwards or downwards journey.) into adulthood surely wouldn't have been the same for my attention-whore of a self, hmm?

(Not saying that I'm an adult yet, mind you. Just that I'd like to believe I'm a little further along. Doesn't mean I'll get over my ("childish", so says society, but I happily stick my fingers in my ear and pretend not to listen) obsessions any time soon.

(And perhaps for a birthday gift, I'll give my journal some new icons. I don't have anything that properly illustrates my melancholic/contemplatic/listless/mirthful lovechild. Perchance that's just me though... Here, have some Kanda looking off into the sunset distance.)

(On a final, vaguely related note: It's official; Fandom, like fashion, sadly repeats itself. Translation: I'm reading Tenipuri again. ...I blame the fact that it, like D.Gray-man, runs in JumpSQ. Meaning that as I'm flipping through trying to find my Kandapanda, I happen to see Echizen or Atobe or bloody Yuuta (whose fault this is entirely, by the way; I damn near lost it when I saw that scarred mug.) and stop and stare and say "What the hell? It can't hurt anything." I was clearly wrong, as it most certainly did hurt something(s) - that being my pride and soul - and now I return you to your previously scheduled journal entry.

(....I believe we were saying something about my lack of maturity?)

...and I skipped yesterday too, bawwww, but I didn't have any internet access!

SATURDAY: I went to Boston with my club! (Student Pastry Arts, not Photo.) It was rainy and crappy, but our hotel was amazing. We ended up going to the Quincy Market, and then the New England Aquarium.

The aquarium. My god. The first thing I did when we got there was go to their special jellyfish exhibit, and I swear I spent a half hour, forty-five minutes up there. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Then, I surfaced to go to the bathroom, went back down, and dozed off watching the Australian spotted jellyfish.

When I went up, I ignored the penguins and walked around the big fishtank. I swear, every third window was dads with their kids, and the dads were so excited! It was the cutest thing ever!

SUNDAY: Outlet mall. Perfume store. 212 by Carolina Herrera; The Beat by Burberry. Did not buy any, but I know what I want. (Was terribly appalled when the salesgirl suggested Ed Hardy perfume to my friend.)

Then we went to the Crossgates Mall, and I was dragged lingerie shopping by the president and secretary, who are practically my big sisters--the president delights in scarring me--and the teacher.

AAAAAAAH SO HORRIFYING I MEAN I MEAN VICTORIA'S SECRET WITH CHEF WAS AAAAAH EMBARRASSING AND THEN FREDERICK'S OF HOLLYWOOD AND MEGAN THE PRESIDENT MADE A COMMENT TO THE SALESGIRL ABOUT MY BIG CHEST AND AAAAAH.

Still! I bought four pairs of cute underwear at JCPenney under their guidance. I've never bought cute underwear. It was an education.

...Or Maybe I'll Just Make This a Mirror of my Blogspot... XD

IT MAY SNOW HERE. YEEEEEEEEES!

"For southern Kansas on Tuesday, including Wichita, a few inches of snow are possible. The Metro could also see periods of freezing rain."

Snow: yes. Freezing rain: no. I have to go all the way to Maize tomorrow and don't feel like driving on an icy Kellogg. Drivers on that street are crazy. I hope classes don't get canceled tomorrow because Thursday is the last day of classes before finals (...although Wednesday is my actual last day). I just want to finish up this semester quick. No classes from December 18-January 19. Sooooooooooooooo nice. Next semester, I managed to get all of my classes online except for Japanese <3

Oh, and yesterday was Simba's twelfth birthday! He's getting so old. ;_; I got him some catnip and two catnip mice. He really enjoyed getting high for his birthday.

Getting on yet another subject, my mom still says she'll get me a sewing machine for Christmas. I've made my decision that I either want a Singer Confidence 7463, 7467, or 7469, depending on how much money she wants to spend. :D

So...yay. I guess that ends this post.

Technically it was today--at a little past midnight at work, I found out that my very least favorite coworker's name is not John.

It's Reginald.

That is poetic. That made my life.

Also, I'm finished with my American paper (completely uninspired, but serviceable; and a lot better than what the teacher is going to get from most of my classmates) and my Catering manager's report, after pulling sort of an all-nighter. I'm holding up remarkably well, but mostly I just want to pass out. Alas, not until 3AM, or later!

And this weekend, I'm going to Boston with my club~ No idea what we're going to do, though, other than see the aquarium.

And I totally forgot about yesterday, so I'll do another day.

Yesterday: my roommate came bawwwing to me for help with her Menu Planning project, and I went across campus just for her, and told her that she was doing everything right, and it looked fine. She was so grateful and it made me feel like a hero. A hero!

Today: in Self-Defense, first of all, I have a partner who's actually as tall as me and can kick my ass like I like it; and second of all, the teacher shut off all the lights and had us all do a relaxation exercise. It felt nice.

Omg Gamestop had a Buy 2 Get 1 Free thing that I'm sure some of you may have run into if you stopped by this past week. I...I bought a lotta games. XD

- Ar Tonelico 2
- Mana Khemia
- .hack//GU pt 1
- .hack//Mutation pt 2
- Xenosaga 2
- Rogue Galaxy
- Magna Carta
- Mirror's Edge
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Last Remnant
- Star Ocean: The Last Hope
- Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires

I swear the money they're giving me is just cycling back to them! /facepalm

Actually three of them were bought for me as a return favor for getting them a Weezer ticket, so it's not AS atrocious as it seems!

Might return one or two of them for something multiplayered or...non-RPG ish. XD I swear I'm so simple-minded when it comes to that. Any non-RPG game suggestions though? I'm ruling out Assassin's Creed, Borderlands, and anything super new cause it costs like 40+ dollars. (And the other two I'm waiting to play on the ps3 or am currently borrowing!)

So yeah, any non-RPG suggestions for games? Even better if it comes with multiplayer options!

Jang Geun Suk?
Or more accurately, "Hwang Tae Kyung", his character from You're Beautiful (Kdrama).
JGS is entirely too *smilesmile* to be Sasuke. xD

I just finished watching the drama aaaaaaaaaaaaaand........ I REALLY shouldn't have read NARUTO FANFICS immediately after. There were major brainfuck moments. Especially when Naruto would *beep* and *beep* Sasuke................ you know? You'd think something like that would be hot, but it just ended up ruining both things. Oh god. *brainbleaches*

Anyway, if Sasuke was not a ninja and instead the leader of a extremely successful Korean boyband, then he would be called Hwang Tae Kyung. And Naruto would be his Go Mi Nam?????? (that's a cliche SasuNaru fic right there lol.)

Honestly though, that's definitely my ideal Sasuke face right there!

Chinese food from my favorite Chinese place, Hong Kong Kitchen. Yes! It's shitty greasy Chinese food, but it's good shitty greasy Chinese food.

Aaaand I'm going back to school today. I downloaded a big fat audiobook yesterday before I remembered that a downloaded a bunch of Teaching Company lectures, including ones on WWI and WWII, and Books That Have Made History (promises to be unbearable pretentious), and one on The Story of Human Language.

Sad fact: Human Language was the first one I downloaded, at the beginning of this summer, in that week before my roommates moved in. I played the first lecture in the series in my empty apartment really loud so I'd feel less ronery. /bawwwww

So I think I'll listen to the next few in that series. Hopefully, they're loud enough to drown Megan out.
