| About: | Hey folks! Welcome to Clamp_Badfic! We are a group of dedicated, distinguished bleeding hearts who enjoy the heartfelt imaginings of other writers... Ah, who are we trying to kid? We're a bunch of bitter, clearly depressed individuals who weren't hugged enough by our mommies when we were kids, here to avenge the complete rape of CLAMP's beloved characters and canon--ALL of them. And if we get a bunch of wank--well, hey, moar lulz for us. WE ARE THE FLAMEPROOF. Now we want to have fun, but we DO have a couple of rules. READ THESE before you enter or do anything else: For Members: 1. FAQs and rules are your friends. READ THEM. That being said, if a person goes out of their way to get themselves and their fantards over here to wangst about how meaaaaaan you're being, go nuts. Just act defensively and make sure it STAYS here. If you're that paranoid about it, flock your posts. 3. Do not link to a person's LiveJournal without their permission first. 4. DO NOT link to a person's Livejournal without their permission FIRST. That would be what we call a Violation of ToS, which is a Bad Thing. Don't do it or I'll ban you. No ifs, ands, buts or second chances. You are, of course, allowed to SPORK the story--just be sure to say "hey thar, email me if you want the link to read for yourself." 5. Promote your stuff elsewhere, aka no spamming. This is not an advertising community. Do not treat it as such. 6. Criticize their mechanics, horrible storytelling, purple prose, ect.--don't do it just because the person gets your panties in a wad.That being said, remember that some people's first language is not English. Just something to keep in mind. 7. You WILL LJ-cut. The LJ FAQ has a WONDERFUL section on how to do this. Utilize it for great justice, k? And no fake cuts, links out, ect. Sporks go in here. 8. Off-topic posts are okay as long as they relate to CLAMP fandom, sporking, or any combo of the two. Anything other than that and I will delete it and you will get warned. Continued violations and I will ban you. 9. This is called CLAMP_badfic for a reason. Go post your Digimon/Pokemon MSTings elsewhere. This is OUR playground. 10. Disclaim, disclaim, disclaim. Does the name "Meyshi" strike fear into you? No? It should. This isn't so much a rule as it is an advisory--DISCLAIM EVERYTHING IN YOUR SPORKS THAT ARE NOT YOURS. This includes guest sporkers that are not your original creations, the series in and of itself, and the fanfic. If you don't want the DMCA coming down on your ass it's in your best interest to do this. If you haven't a single clue as to what the hell I'm talking about in regards to Meyshi, don't worry. I'll explain in the FAQ. 11. NO quoting entire chapters or stories. That could be construed as something possibly illegal. Just feature the worst and we'll all be happy. And if it's REALLY bad? We probably don't want to read the whole thing anyway. 12. Be flameproof. Chances are, even with all these rules you might get wanked. If you don't want to, you can just flock your entry. 13. If your journal is empty or looks trollish, I am not approving your entry. Me and the other 14. You are allowed TWO sporks a day. These sporks may come from ANY two CLAMP fandoms, but you are only allowed two. Count with me: One. Two. Anymore than that and your poor For Readers Whose Stories are in Here: 1. It's really in your best interest not to cause drama. Remember that little intro? We obviously, as you would claim, weren't loved by our parents growing up. We therefore don't really give a crap if you're going to get all sobby and weepy because someone thought your NC-17 OT10 harem!fic was utter crap. 2. Educate yourself. Don't claim copyright. For serious. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work. Under the fair use doctrine of the U.S. copyright statute, it is permissible to use limited portions of a work including quotes, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and scholarly reports. There are no legal rules permitting the use of a specific number of words, a certain number of musical notes, or percentages of a work.
