AboutWelcome to CKR Actorfic!
The primary purpose of this journal is to create a central location for the sharing of CKR RPF. (If you don't know what RPF is, or who CKR is, then you probably don't want to be here.)
Rules:
1. You may post your own CKR fic or rec the CKR fic of others.
2. All ratings, pairings and genres are accepted, including multiple partners, kink and het. *g*
3. Absolutely no posting of any author's story without their express permission. And just to be on the safe side, no posting of offers to e-mail a fic without having the author's permission to do so. If you know of the location of a story somewhere on a public web page, feel free to share the link. If at any time any author requests that their fic or a link to their fic be taken down, we will honor that request asap.
4. Outside links and cross-posting are both fine.
5. If you post the full text of a story, please use an lj-cut tag.
6. Obviously, all fic should contain CKR doing his thing, whatever you perceive his thing to be (or at least copious mention of CKR by other characters if he's not actively in the story).
7. No flaming, trolling, or spamming, or you'll be banned.
8. In addition to fic, also welcome in this journal are:
-facts and news about CKR,
-questions about CKR,
-the sharing of pics & icons of our man (pics & icons should focus on the actor rather than his characters; please use lj-cut tags for posting these too),
-stories about real-life fan encounters,
-random conversation fic (like this),
-beta requests or offers,
-writing challenges,
-plot bunny adoptions,
-and polite discussion of 'the issues of writing RPF'.
Again, the main purpose of this journal is to share CKR RPF, but really anything CKR-related will be lovingly embraced.
Please note that membership in this community is moderated solely for the purpose of making sure that you are first and foremost a CKR fan, and secondly, that you know what RPF is and are comfortable with it. If there is no mention of CKR or an indication that you know who he is in your interests, your communities, or your posts, then it is unlikely that I will approve your membership. A mention of due South or BSG, for example, is enough to let me know that you’re aware of who he is.
Additionally, if your personal LJ contains no entries, has nothing in the user info bio or interests sections, and has no friends-of or communities listed, your friendly mod will become a suspicious mod, and in the interest of protecting the other members of the community will probably not approve the membership request. I hate to be like this, but some minimal online identity is necessary to establish that a person hasn't opened an LJ just for the purpose of gaining entry and rocking the boat here.
Posting is open to all members and is initially unmoderated, although that is subject to change should anyone attempt to create an unpleasant atmosphere here.
I know not everybody agrees with the concept of RPF— hence the membership mod’ing and the automatic f-locking on all the entries. If you're not down with the RPF, that's okay; just please respect our right to have a difference of opinion, and we'll respect your right to not frequent this journal.
All that said, this should be a friendly and fun place to hang and read and generally engage in a wonderful obsession: the (fictionalized) life of CKR.
