Here we go-- my second try at posting an image of my Virtue server hero.

Hi. I'm known as Raptor. I've played CoH on-and-off since it first came out. I loves me some RP, and Virtue doesn't disappoint.

My current main character is Santonius, a natural Mercenaries/Poison mastermind. If you see me running around, feel free to say hi.

This probably falls under "duh" category for many of you, but I was thrilled to discover a brand-new-to-me use for the Mission Architect system this weekend.

I play on Virtue, not just because I'm a roleplayer, but because I really enjoy creating interesting characters and sharing their costume/bios, and Virtue provides the best environment, both for my own custom critters and to see what awesome toons other people come up with.

However, a problem I've run into is that the game content doesn't always fit my character's backstory. Case in point: I recently created a defender named Kid Coral, an ocean-themed defender. As we all know, there is almost zero ocean-themed content in COH and only slightly more in COV. Oh well, right? I was ready to jump into the sewers and just run through the usual starter content when I suddenly thought to check out the MA system and plug "ocean" into the search window. I found more than a dozen arcs about rescuing an ocean princess or saving the ocean from pollution or fighting off an invading ocean race. If I chose to, I could probably advance quite a few levels of my character's "backstory" before I ever switched out to Steel Canyon, Skyway, and the rest.

I spent the rest of the weekend trying this out.

My space gladiator? TONS of space-themed arcs, including a great one called "Gladiators of Venus."

My ex-football player turned natural scrapper? Missions to save the Paragon City football team and other football related arcs.

Of course, not all the arcs are well-built for starting characters. For some arcs, I might have to treat it as a "flashback" to some of their earlier adventures or a diversion from the day-to-day. But still, it was fun for me to finally put my heroes and villains into their element. I recommend it!

I figured that, having hit 41, it's about time I did a post that's basically "let me show you my mans". Especially as he's now in the Featured Hero section.

My mans in this instance is the invulnerable, indomnitable Iron Frame! I wanted a 'brain in a jar' type robot, but without the inevitable pathos of the tragic backstory. My answer? Make him a bit of a dick who gets maimed and wakes up in an invulnerable robot body, and realizes that he can be a decent bloke who occasionally goes Scrapperlock incarnate.

That's Kaptajn Utrolige ("Captain Incredible" Shield/Strength Tank), Denmark's elite superhero, and Kaptaani Mahtava ("Captain Powerful" Ice/Energy Blaster), Finland's most powerful superheroine!

I'm not crazy about Sheild Defense, but I'm going to give it a try. It so end hungry! Also the Edna Mode in me wants the Rulaaru shield -- it's the sweetness!

Last post for a while, I promise.

I need help naming and working on a hero concept.

While fighting some agony mages today, I thought to myself, I want a gravkin. I want one so bad.

So I'm working on him, but a name and stuff about him is getting a little hard. I run a sg on Justice and Freedom called The Greekchorus where the actual basis that me and my friend play is that it's low-cost housing for heroes. It's run by four heroes who had no real viable source of income and decided to make the best of what they had handy after the suggestion of an accountant (now a hero with them).

All the heroes in it for some reason can't afford a normal apartment or don't want to risk it getting blown up.

There's Thea Anastasis and Benedict Jones, disfigured cyborgs with no education beyond high school and one's not even a legal citizen. A bunch of students whose studies and heroing keep them from being able to hold down jobs (Riley Grimm, Daisy Daring), panda spirit infestations (Xuan Xuan), legally dead for a year and still trying to pick up the pieces (Gizmo Guy and Gizmo Gal), not considered a legal human being (Clockwork Chill), or the incredibly bizarre, like Kurt and Shelly Winters, who run a mom and pop spy agency out of their rooms.

At the very least, he needs a name. Help!

Anath: Virtue, Demon: Guardian, Nyte: Pinnacle, Djin: Victory

I brought one of my D&D characters to the drunken-posi on Saturday, so a couple of us on our team got to talking about our D&D characters, and I suddenly thought I should make my druid (Anath) into a toon. And then on Sunday, while I was trying to finally get the last >10 toon to level 10 (during commercial breaks from the football game), I asked what secondary I should pick for Anath. Someone suggested Plant/Therm but I can't do that because Anath is phobic about fire. So Ery suggested Plant/Rad, which I anticipate being awesome (as he said it would be) but I also had to make a Plant/Therm. (Djin's bio: "Not all genies live in bottles and grant wishes. For instance, I live in a jalapeno jar and grant tasty justice.") And the Ninjas MM.. well I recently did the ITF with someone who has a Ninjas MM and I didn't realize the uber pet gets Rain of Fire. That's awesome. Plus, I didn't have any completely blue characters. Oh and IIRC, Nyte is Space's fault.

I have three more on the way after i13 hits live. >.> .... What altitis?

SO I HIT FIFTY. It is my third fifty. But my first honest one!

Short version: No farming, no inheriting, did it on a Sara Moore PuG tf which is not a horror story. Somehow got the badge for it despite disconnecting on second last mission and never managing to come back.

Been a long time lurker here, and while I primarily play on the Victory server (@wolfiesama for those who are curious), I wanted to sorta see who else here was there too.

I see a lot of you being from Virtue or quite a few of the other servers, but I'm looking for more people to team with.. I tried the Virtue server myself, could never get into it. Perhaps because I never had people help me with that. LOL

Uhm.. so I guess you could call this one of those.. shout out things. I'd like to hang out with more people rather than my SG (Dawn of Distorted Light). lol I hang with them enough.

OK guys. I've rolled my first ever Warshade (as always, on Virtue - sorry I forgot to mention that earlier, but it was late ... er ... early ... er ... yeaaaaaaaaaaah ...), after trying for ages to come up with a concept that fits in with my usual 'silly' methods ... and based on the riotous laughter I got when I first spoke up in chat tonight, I think we have a winner here.

The reason I introduce this toon, is because he marks the end of Triumph for me. I have filled all possible character slots on triumph with either a toon, or a place holder for a future toon whose name I needed to reserve. This is, a bittersweet moment for me :D ttyl folks

Well, I'm not a fan of scrappers, but I am now a fan of Stalkers.... Somthing about being almost perma stealth is fun, the thinking aspect of what to attack and when... I mostly worked my Stalker to 12 yesterday, and had a real good time... All but a few of my toons are linked as family... I'm working on the bios for all of them... The Family links... Belcor Loongwood(hero), Tera Longwood(hero), Parents to Parth (hero) Barth (Villian) Chardenel Blaster (Villian).... Papa Longwood(Villian) Parent to Belcor,  Daydragon(Hero) Brother to Belcor, And Lastly Miss D'eath(Hero) Spouse to Daydragon.... Meheh It's not the easyest to connect them... But I've gots a plan... I've got Parth's bio almost complete... But the family fun all starts from Papa....  I may start a saga out of this... Dunno, What do y'all think??
