Baator the Devourer. Kitten souls are very small, and rather unfilling. On the other hand, cats are self centered and can be jerks, two traits he admires. Also, they keep the number of mice down in the temple. Welcome to the cult! I shall name you Razorclaw Devourer of VERMIN! Go forth and FEAST! FEAST! I command you! FEAST on the vermin of this world! FEEEEEEAST!!!!!

He's sort of a beer and pork rinds god. Currently he's hard at work seeing how he can get himself declared the god of ice hockey.

Many moons ago (okay, about 9 months ago to be specific), Our Liz offered up a special deal on City-based sketches as part of a month-long art binge she was planning. I'm far too lazy to dig up the actual posts, but if you pick the right tag and click back to March or April of 2008, you'll see a pretty impressive collection of sketches, chibis, and other work. I decided to jump on the bandwagon with a little piece of my tax return, and Liz was gracious enough to give me the bargain price even though I missed the original deadline by a day or two.

Wow, if there can be a Death Star pumpkin carving, surely there can be CoX-related carvings. Anyone do anything this year or thinking of doing something next year?

I absolutely have to share this.

I started writing a story about three weeks ago featuring Positron and one of my two primary characters from Justice, Agent Sorina Tavarisch.  Then, on a whim, I commissioned Hero Portrait Studios to do a picture for me for this story.  The notion I'd had in mind was a picture of these two people who are so very adept at keeping others at a distance, both literally (him because of his armor, her because of her powers) and emotionally, managing in some small way to actually TOUCH one another.

I was so absolutely flabbergasted when I saw this that I was completely incapable of speech for several moments.  It was so much, much better than anything I could have imagined.

Earlier, in our forum, spacenut3737 posted the new shields from I13. Unfortunately, I am just not thrilled about them. I was asked by spacenut3737 what kind of "over the top" shields I would like to see. So, I quickly Photoshoped what I would like to see in the game.

Mostly just arts.

Some of these are new, some aren't so new, but I haven't posted them here. Just thought I'd share since I haven't done so in a while...

Not long ago, someone made a post about "crafty" CoH-related things. My wonderful wife diannarae (who puts up with so much weirdness from me already!) was sitting on the couch, doing some crochet, and I had an idea: a scarf that was blue on one end, sporting the "Hero" logo, and red on the other, with an Arachnos logo. When I told her about it, she just grinned (and probably cringed a little internally), and started thinking about how to pull it off. Today, she handed me the finished product...

A while back now, I got a portrait of Deuco, my first 50 and favorite toon ever, from our own dear syrusb. I've been meaning to show it off here, along with a more detailed writeup of the character too, but haven't gotten that written out yet. I'll probably get started on it shortly after my upcoming move, but in the meanwhile, the portrait she did is on the cover of this week's City Scoop. ( And here it is too. )

Deuco is a Kinetics/Dark Defender on Infinity (with clones on every US server). He's a thrill to play; the fast pace combined with his personal squishiness makes sleepwalking him on autopilot a near impossibility, and it's such a delight to see a Kin-fueled team churning out damage like light from a star. And he even solos decently* against most things now. (*Which is to say that it's fun to achieve, without implying that I give two figs about his DPS numbers.)
